Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D) posted a video to Twitter on Saturday in which she pushed an “assault weapons” ban in response to two shootings carried out with pistols.
Klobuchar cited the January 21, 2023 Monterey Park shooting (11 killed) and the January 23, 2023 Half Moon Bay shooting (seven killed).
She did not mention that both shootings occurred in stringently gun-controlled California, which has had an “assault weapons” ban since the 1990s. Nor did she mention that both shootings were carried out with pistols.

Old Chinese guys have their reactionary Confucianism philosophy, which is extreme and right-wing. All old Chinese guys are domestic terrorists. Don’t let their good manners and bowing and shmowing fool you./s
Never let a crisis go to waste. The so-called “assault weapons” passes the “common use” test as there are millions of them and as Clarence Thomas said, the 2nd Amendment did not restrict firearms to those that existed in 1791.
From Bruen:
he test that the Court set forth in Heller and applies today requires courts to assess whether modern firearms regulations are consistent with the Second Amendment’s text and historical understanding. Of course, the regulatory challenges posed by firearms today are not always the same as those that preoccupied the Founders in 1791 or the Reconstruction generation in 1868. But the Constitution can, and must, apply to circumstances beyond those the Founders specifically anticipated, even though its meaning is fixed according to the understandings of those who ratified it. See, e.g., United States v. Jones, 565 U. S. 400, 404–405. Indeed, the Court recognized in Heller at least one way in which the Second Amendment’s historically fixed meaning applies to new circumstances: Its reference to “arms” does not apply “only [to] those arms in existence in the 18th century.”
in other words a typical leftist skank
Amy is an attention-getter. Ignore her.
That pretty much sums it up!
Don't underestimate these lawmakers about their intentions. She knows very well what she wants to ban, which is obviously all firearms to all private citizens. She's not necessarily addressing people who know the difference between a long gun and a pistol. This is about getting the ignorant on board with their anti-2A cause.
The space aliens are getting sloppy with their makeup.
Hey over here look at me Im about to say something stupid like I look, as truth and you will eat it up like the dopes you are
Signed Amy
Even Minnesota dumb senator dies not know her state is a shall issue state.
More Americans are killed with hammers than with “assault weapons”...
Hey Klobuchar, how about a little DemoKKKrat control? Y’all need to stop killing innocent, unarmed people!
And your solution is more unarmed, innocent people?
Yeah, I wanna live in a world where ONLY criminals and politicians have guns, but then I repeat myself.
Awww, Mommy Klobs is back… isn’t she cute?
It's Indiana's fault.
She isn’t that dumb. She’s ideologically driven to come up with any BS story that advances tyranny
And vice-versa!!
