A Fox News journalist who lost a limb and sight in one eye in an attack while reporting on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine made his return to live TV.
Benjamin Hall urged those at home to “never give up, never assume it’s all over.”
He said the cameraman crawled out of their car and he followed him out before a THIRD bomb struck the vehicle.
“The two of us laid there for about 40 minutes, and talked, he passed away,” Hall said.
The journalist also said he is grateful to his three young daughters who he had a vision of while staring down death.
His voice caught while reading a passage from his forthcoming memoir describing the moment he heard their voices pleading, “Daddy, you got to get out of the car.”
“In that moment when it happened, I was totally out. I was very badly injured. I had shrapnel in the eye and in the throat and I saw my own daughters, my young daughters and they brought me back. I found the strength.”
“I opened my eyes and managed to crawl out of the car and then the third bomb hit the car itself. If it weren’t for them bringing me back, there’s no way I would be here today.”
“I remember lying there when it happened in the middle of nowhere, very badly injured and thinking ‘I’m going home no matter what, I will crawl if I have to.’ And I thought that way throughout and that’s what got me here.”
“I think it’s absolutely essential that we tell the news from wherever we can,” he said. “We got to keep telling the stories of the atrocities that are going on, we got to keep telling the stories of the heroes who are out there as well."

Exemplary. Very brave man. Or a fool.
Take your pick.
Maybe he should have served his country instead of Fox News, but each to his own.
May Divine Providence protect him.
Incredible story
Thanks for posting.
Please, pray for peace.
I am glad he is alive and recovering. Hope he has a better future.
“The wounded correspondent was evacuated from the war zone by a special operations team and the nonprofit organization Save Our Allies.”
So this doofus goes into a war zone as a non-combatant, gets blown up, gets his cameraman killed. And then other lives are put at risk to rescue his dumb azz. There’s nothing heroic or sensible about this guy’s actions...war correspondent, or not.
And he gets a book deal out of it so maybe that will help him recover even more. He was lucky. Many war correspondents are not.
I don’t think Workmans Comp will help him that much.
Better take it up with Putin. He could end the war today by ordering all attacks to cease and all his troops to return to Russia.
He went into the war zone, even though he had three young children and a wife to provide for. Was that voluntary or did Fox News leave him no choice?
One hopes they can afford to hire ongoing assistance. This may be overwhelming for his wife to handle alone.
With the Ukraine shelling Russian citizens in the Donbas, Putin is being forced to eliminate the threat. BTW, why aren’t you on the front fighting for Zelensky?
Or NATO, the geopolitical short bus, could immediately renounce Ukraine’s bid to be in the organization and state firmly that Ukraine will not be considered for future membership.
“Or NATO, the geopolitical short bus, could immediately renounce Ukraine’s bid to be in the organization and state firmly that Ukraine will not be considered for future membership.”
NATO (really the Neocons) prefer a nuclear exchange to Ukraine remaining a neutral country...otherwise, they would have agreed with Russia and this war would have never begun.
Hush!
Someone close to me asked why Trump in 2020
I said, “World peace.”
Amen.
And prayers up for Benjamin’s continued recovery and for the loved ones of his two colleagues who lost their lives in this tragedy. R.I.P.
