Gianno Caldwell is one of the bravest people in America. How do I know that? Because he’s an openly conservative Black man, a Fox news political analyst and political podcaster, an enemy of PC culture, and the author of a book advising Republicans how to bring disenchanted Black Democrats back to the Republican party. Those views saw him kicked out of a North Miami bakery.
For those unfamiliar with Caldwell, who grew up on Chicago’s southside, once Barack Obama’s political stomping grounds, here’s the key paragraph from Caldwell’s website bio:
Gianno’s first book, TAKEN FOR GRANTED: How Conservatism Can Win Back the Americans That Liberalism Failed largely recounts his childhood in streets filled with violence, poverty, and drugs (including his own mother’s addiction) and the way in which conservative values helped him achieve his dreams in reaching DC and Los Angeles. His hope is that other Americans will be motivated by his journey and focus again on faith, hard work, and self-determination.

I’m impressed that Gianno could take a clear look at his community and realize that he and it needed conservative values to thrive. Moreover, instead of hiding his beliefs, he’s been open about them, inevitably exposing him to opprobrium from the intolerant left.
Speaking of the intolerant left, Caldwell was in Paradis Books & Bread in North Miami the other day, and his views were not acceptable, as Fox News reported:
On Saturday morning, the restaurant owner approached Caldwell and said that she had been “listening” to their conversation and decided that they “were not welcome” in her restaurant.
Caldwell said he asked if he had said something “triggering” to the owner, to which she explained that they were being removed because their politics do not align

I can't believe what just happened. I met up with friends for breakfast at Paradis Books and Bread in North Miami & while we were having discussions about politics we were told by the owner that we were not welcomed there because we aren't politically aligned. Outrageous.— Gianno Caldwell (@GiannoCaldwell) January 21, 2023
No matter your politics you should not be discriminated against. I was discriminated against for being a conservative and told to leave a restaurant in North Miami because my politics didn’t “align” with the owner. This is NOT okay. The restaurant has shut down its website, but its Instagram account lives on. That’s where it published its take on what happened when Caldwell and his friends came in, along with a poster showing its official policy regarding all the people whom it loves and the phobias and -isms that it hates. First, the poster:
Good. Hopefully more people will enact “Go Woke, Go Broke” behavior on this idiot-run restaurant, and they’ll go out of business.
Picket the place with “They hate black people” signs. Be creative
“Deeply committed to harm reduction”
Yet they will happily and intentionally harm somebody who says something they don’t like.
Makes perfect sense.
Good man!
How does this compare to the bakery and the LGBT or wedding cake incident?
Politics, race, and gender! Welcome to the new world order havoc.
Back in the days of HUAC, the government did no blacklisting. That would violate the Constitution, right? But they provided a platform by which Hollywood Communists could be identified. And then the film companies in Hollywood blacklisted the communists and told them they would not be hired. Private companies can do all sorts of stuff.
The Left has always been outraged by this Blacklisting. Banning people because they had improper political views?? In America??
Today, the government (mostly) does not censor people or ban people. That would violate the Constitution, right? But private businesses — Facebook, Twitter, Bakeries, etc. blacklist people with improper political views. The Left is very much in favor of this. It helps preserve “our democracy”.

Dead
I would not trade with them. By the same token, I wouldn’t want woketards to patronize my business.
But the government does send them suggestions of whom to cancel, and they usually follow those recommendations. 🙂
For starters it is not Colorado or Oregon. This kind of bad behavior by businesses is ok in Red states.
Its not like he is forcing them to bake a special wedding cake celebrating his views.
Only subservient black people with the proper “thankful”attitude toward their white lefty “betters” are allowed, those who say “Yasm massah, of course doz Democrats know what’s best for us’ns”.
No uppity, free thinking, conservative, well educated “nigras” or other independent thinking non-victims wanted there.
What’s galling is the sappy syrupy sweet verbage in that announcement, while the content is so incredibly racist and oppressive!
I believe that privately owned businesses (as opposed to publicly owned businesses - ATT, Walmart, etc.) should have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason or no reason at all.
If I back the wedding cake guy and the photographer who refuse service to gay weddings as I do, I have to back this bakery & wine shop, too. They’ll never see a dime of my business, but that should be the choice of the private business owner.
Publicly owned businesses should not have that same right as they are owned by a very diverse public.
Actually it kinda is about KKK. The Klan was a Democrat party thing.
No it’s not. Stop talking red vs blue.
Ping
Helluva good guy. His younger brother, non gang member, was murdered last year by errant gunfire on the South Side.
