Contractor trash bags are plentiful, and not that expensive.
Re “first time they shot up”:
I knew five people that died before they were 25 years old. From heroin. They made bad choices and it killed them. One was a childhood buddy…
But nobody force them to stick that crap in themselves… It sucks, but that is the reality of it. And it’s a vicious cycle… Once in, it’s very hard to get out of it.
I used to dig antique bottles in that area. It was shaky back then but this is a whole new level of decay.
This is pretty much every Rat-Run city in America today.
The homeless and addict "problem" lines their pockets quite nicely. Between getting the voters to approve homeless initiatives, which brings in millions of dollars to the government and homeless activist groups run by their friends, who deliver kickbacks, to the developers for building housing for the homeless who also deliver kickbacks, to rehab centers who also deliver kickbacks, there's plenty of motivation to keep "the problem" as much of a problem as they can.
The Homeless Industrial Complex is a fabulous revenue stream.
I saw comments from Filipinos online who said their streets were safer, cleaner, and crime was down after Duarte ordered users and dealers to be executed on the spot.
I can believe this is America. We ain’t exactly the holy land and never have been. Opioid addiction was also a huge problem after the Civil War. It seems to come in waves.
I asked a senior LAPD officer if more mental hospitals would lead to less homeless people on the streets? He said, “Yes.” I asked him why the mental hospitals were closed in the 1980’s. He said that politicians concluded it was too expensive to manage mental hospitals. Sad. Every person on drugs are self-medicating and simply needs a twin bed, a dresser, a couch with simple meals and proper medication.
See Step #2 in the Blue Book. I think that Bill W was onto something.
The hospitals were closed down by Reagan at the time, because the ACLU had class action suit lawyers bankrupting the states for holding patients against their will.
Most drug addicts are selfish people who not only hurt themselves. It’s not a victimless crime. Last Monday I went to 20 month old boy’s funeral, because his mother wanted to go out and she ended up overdosing him with fentanyl. They are selfish, and narcissistic. She already had 6 kids removed from her custody in the past, and the baby was born addicted to drugs, and he had to stay a month in the hospital for withdrawals. She should have never been allowed to take him home. She’ll have a bed in prison for decades with 2nd degree manslaughter, and cruelty to a juvenile charges.
My brother’s Fiance’s parents live a block or 2 from there.
I used to hang there in my 20s. Poor neighborhood then but NOTHING LIKE THIS.
Read an article saying that many of these addicts are now mixing in a highly addictive (as in....the withdrawal process is beyond a living h3##....excruciating pain) veterinary pain med.
It’s essentially turning them into zombies....I wonder if that is what is happening, here.
Excellent post.
There’s so much they’re up against, and so much that has gone wrong within them. Not much we can do without meaningful change at the political level, but we can, at least pray, for them and their souls.
Purposely done
The crime and drugs in Kensington were well-known even back then, but the dystopian nightmare that it has become today is beyond anything I could have imagined back when I lived in Philadelphia as a kid.
Not a coincidence that Philadelphia has been under full democrat control for about 70 years. No sign of this getting any better. The best that city could hope for is for all of the hardcore drug abusers and homeless to congregate in that one area to isolate the problem, but that is unlikely as Philly continues to circle the drain.
Interesting. Probably a similar timeline in a lot of places.
“Nora Sheehan, 56, lost her son Andrew Jugler, 29, in October, 2021, after he took a deadly concoction of the Xylazine and fentanyl following an eight-year battle with addiction”
~shows a white lady hovering over an obviously black person in the accompianging photo.
Scroll down a bit to see a photo of Andrew Jugler, who appears to be white as the driven snow. 🤔
The Homeless Industrial Complex is a fabulous revenue stream.

It sure is. I had a neighbor who allegedly got a contract with Los Angeles County to build housing for the homeless to the tune of $250 million.
You should see (one of) the fabulous boat that family sports. $$$
