College Professor Claims He’s Being Fired for Asking Questions During Campus Diversity Meeting

A California college professor is fighting back after he says his job has been threatened due to allegations of racism and hate speech that he said were “completely fabricated.”

Tenured Bakersfield College history professor Matthew Garrett said he and other faculty members of a free speech coalition were targeted with false allegations after they asked questions during a campus diversity meeting last October. Shortly afterwards, Garrett received a notice of unprofessional conduct by the administration that claimed he had caused “real harm” to students and said he was being removed from the diversity committee “effective immediately.”

In December, vice president of the school district’s Board of Trustees John Corkins made headlines after he lashed out at the group during a board meeting saying the “abusive” and “disrespectful” minority of teachers needed to be “culled,” and taken “to the slaughterhouse.”

And his complaint is? Seems like he just got back a few hours of his life to be better used.

Because someone needs to keep an eye on the loonies so, if nothing else, the normal people can be warned that they are getting ready to go on a killing spree.

Of all the things to do, being on a ‘diversity committee’ would be the last on any list of aspirations I could think of.

I cant imagine a more twisted existence than a college professor at a woke institution, which lets be honest is the majority of them. If youre the hyperventilating liberal youre nuts but accepted, if you are the skeptic , your a liability and fired.

DIE

Diversity. Inclusion. Equity.

Any college, university, company or corporation that engages in such evil practices must be avoided at all costs.

No white people teaching non whites anymore.

I also think that police officers should stop interacting with black people. Who wants to have his life destroyed?

If I was a cop, I would avoid blacks.
I picked electrical distribution engineering for a reason.

I have no doubt that it is a sacrifice for him.

Like it is a sacrifice for Libs of TikToc to go through hundred of hours of insane ranting to find hard proof of what is going on with teachers from preschool to collage.

All honor to the heroes.

This is going to become a much more important issue - although it's been kicking around in academic circles for years.

The issue is - does the United States, or any of its member states, have a Basic Law which is superior to the Constitution, a law which, if violated, voids any rights a citizen supposedly possesses under the Federal or a State Constitution?

After Germany was conquered in 1945 and before the US, UK, and French occupation zones were allowed to form West Germany, the would-be German State had to accept the Grundgesetz, or Basic Law, that placed National Socialism outside of politics, such that whatever rights or privileges the German Federal Republic afforded its citizens could and would be voided by a special court if any speech, writing, signage, demonstration, song or political platform was judged to have a threat of National Socialism. So Germany and Germans were free to govern themselves, but with an asterisk.

I thought of this because two goofballs in my state hung a banner from a highway overpass last summer that said "Keep New Hampshire White", and they were both arrested yesterday with a big to-do, a press conference, a perp walk, and an announcement that because they committed "hate speech" they were not protected by free speech or assembly and would be punished.

Now, I don't think dopes should do things like that. It's kind of nasty.

But I looked around for an American Grundgesetz that would permit the State to punish free speech, and I came upon the argument, first made (AFAIK) by Lincoln, that the Declaration of Independence voided any part of the Constitution that conflicted with it, because the Declaration functioned as our Basic Law.

And although a stupid banner seems like a small thing, there are other things that are not small at all, which permit things to said about, written about, or done to white people which should, under existing laws or the Federal Constitution, be illegal.

Everyone knows that Catholic universities have much more freedom of thought than non-Catholic, secular, and boring universities. Proof: professors who teach at UC Berkeley (secular) and USF (Catholic) regularly observe the difference. The College history professor at Bakersfield needs to start a new Catholic university, like St. Anselm did all by himself many years ago.
