Replacing human error with computerized human errors…
I like Musk, but I think these self driving things are foolish and will lead to his ruin. I really want his space stuff to succeed, but he will be sued to oblivion from this kind of stuff before the first mars mission gets off the ground
“The Tesla Model S that braked sharply, triggering an eight-car pileup ...”
Failure to maintain assured clear distance, otherwise known as tailgating, is not the Tesla’s fault.
I would not advise use of self driving in the big city.
Complete stops on freeways (w/ a driver or not) isn’t necessarily the trailing vehicles fault either.
The computers are better at it......................
It has not yet become clear to most that in the world of electric vehicles, vehicles-as-a- device or tech- based vehicles... that the only winners are the heads of these companies.
Tech companies creating cars is like pharmaceuticals creating cars. Uber has talked about building cars but each design is rejected because it can’t effectively remove money from people fast enough.
Go back to all gas cars...and enjoy the ride again.
It’s called phantom breaking and it’s a problem with self-driving vehicles,not just teslas.🤔
Now that’s funny rat thar!!
a Subaru I had last week as a loaner braked on its own. Also told me to keep my eyes on the road.
they lost a repeat customer because of it.
They’re surely unnecessary.
I get mad at the “Printer out of paper” guy. Can’t imagine anyone telling me how to drive.
Breitbart Just had to find a way to put Elon’s name in the title. That shows you they are in it with the MSM.
And I think self driving cars are a terrible idea. Yet I can still pick out propaganda.
Yes, well in real life a sudden slamming of the brakes, especially with a car with that kind a brake performance will cause a wreck every time and is reckless. The Tesla was reckless.
So who’s liable when a self-driving car causes an accident? The passenger (there is no human driver)? The car owner? The store he bought the car from? Or the car manufacturer?
Self driving is coming to gas cars, too.
Precisely
The Bay Bridge ain’t a place that I would use autopilot
Self-driving cars are already safer that human driven. And they are learning more everyday.
