Tesla that Caused in 8-Car San Francisco Pileup Had Elon Musk’s ‘Full Self-Driving’ Activated

The Tesla Model S that braked sharply, triggering an eight-car pileup in San Francisco on Thanksgiving Day, reportedly had Elon Musk’s Autopilot “full self-driving” software engaged at the time of the crash.

Breitbart News previously reported that nine people, including a 2-year-old child, were hurt in an eight-vehicle crash caused by a Tesla Model S on Thanksgiving Day on the San Francisco Bay Bridge. The collision happened as the car abruptly changed lanes and stopped in the bridge’s far-left lane.

I obtained surveillance footage of the self-driving Tesla that abruptly stopped on the Bay Bridge, resulting in an eight-vehicle crash that injured 9 people including a 2 yr old child just hours after Musk announced the self-driving feature.

I like Musk, but I think these self driving things are foolish and will lead to his ruin. I really want his space stuff to succeed, but he will be sued to oblivion from this kind of stuff before the first mars mission gets off the ground

“The Tesla Model S that braked sharply, triggering an eight-car pileup ...”

Failure to maintain assured clear distance, otherwise known as tailgating, is not the Tesla’s fault.

I would not advise use of self driving in the big city.

Complete stops on freeways (w/ a driver or not) isn’t necessarily the trailing vehicles fault either.

It has not yet become clear to most that in the world of electric vehicles, vehicles-as-a- device or tech- based vehicles... that the only winners are the heads of these companies.

Tech companies creating cars is like pharmaceuticals creating cars. Uber has talked about building cars but each design is rejected because it can’t effectively remove money from people fast enough.

I do not think EVs will get more popular and that they exist at all is pure politics.

Go back to all gas cars...and enjoy the ride again.

Breitbart Just had to find a way to put Elon’s name in the title. That shows you they are in it with the MSM.

And I think self driving cars are a terrible idea. Yet I can still pick out propaganda.

Yes, well in real life a sudden slamming of the brakes, especially with a car with that kind a brake performance will cause a wreck every time and is reckless. The Tesla was reckless.

So who’s liable when a self-driving car causes an accident? The passenger (there is no human driver)? The car owner? The store he bought the car from? Or the car manufacturer?

Self-driving cars are already safer that human driven. And they are learning more everyday.
