Former President Donald Trump has dismissed claims that COVID-19 vaccines are broadly unsafe while asserting that his own role in the development of the vaccines may have saved 100 million lives.
Trump touted the effectiveness of Operation Warp Speed, his administration's program to accelerate the development of COVID-19 vaccines and therapeutics, during a Monday interview on the conservative podcast The Water Cooler.
Host David Brody asked the former president if he would "acknowledge" that the vaccines "were not as safe or effective as we were told....
"I was able to get something approved that, you know, that has proven to have saved a lot of lives," Trump said, ignoring Brody's request to weigh in on the anti-vaccine narrative. "Some people say that I saved 100 million lives worldwide."
Trump touted the speed of vaccine development under his program, saying that he was "able to get [the vaccines] done in nine months...."
..."You have to understand, there are the pros and cons," said Trump. "Some reports [say] that it's the greatest thing that's ever happened and we saved tens of millions of lives. Then you'll read other reports [that] say there were some problems with the vaccine...but relatively small numbers....

Trump was a big part of getting the vaccines out.
Time will tell if they are safe, and actually saved people.
I think he’s got this wrong, but because he got biased data.
(1) bias (of any sort),Both deprive you of the objectivity you will need. And without objectivity, you will be unable to clearly perceive the truth.(2) ego (excessive ego, including related insecurities).
As an aside, there's a difference between a healthy self-impression and fragile ego.
If the numbers I've seen are accurate (70%-75% of American adults having taken at least one round of a COVID vaccine), then there is a huge political risk in doing anything that downplays or undermines these vaccines.
I would also point out that every Nazi governor who imposed draconian COVID restrictions in 2020 and faced an election since then has been re-elected. I would include DeSantis himself in that group.

I’ve been out of the loop for a while, so to spek, but it seems lately myocarditis is Custer’s last stand, the only hill left for antivaxers to die on. Which is kind of wierd seeing the 16-24yo’ds are least likely to get vaccinated, most likely to have caught an asymptomatic or mild case of covid and covid-induced myocarditis is far more prevalent than vaccine-induced myocarditis
Consider the incidence of myocarditis in covid-infected:

Now look at Pfizer/Moderna vaccines in a 4 nation Nordic study, never mind that the first in the age group most likely to be vaccinated would be high-risk, multiple morbidities kids:
- 40-70 events per million following Pfizer 2nd shot and 90 to 280 events following the second shot of Moderna, or 10% to 30% of covid-caused myocarditis
“In this cohort study of 23.1 million Nordic residents aged 12 years or older, the risk of myocarditis was higher within 28 days of vaccination with both BNT162b2 and mRNA-1273 compared with being unvaccinated, and higher after the second dose of vaccine than the first dose.”
“The risk was more pronounced after the second dose of mRNA-1273 than after the second dose of BNT162b2, and the risk was highest among males aged 16 to 24 years. Our data are compatible with 4 to 7 excess events within 28 days per 100 000 vaccinees after a second dose of BNT162b2, and 9 to 28 excess events within 28 days per 100 000 vaccinees after a second dose of mRNA-1273.”
40-70 and 90-280 is way lower or near to the background annual rate of myocarditis in the US, which is 220 events/million
Breaking it down to by age group, we get 55 to 184 events per million, again, compared to virus-caused myocarditis rate of 561-601 events per million shown above:
” Excess events within 28 days in males aged 16 to 24 years of 5.55 events per 100 000 vaccinees after the second dose with BNT162b2 and 18.39 events per 100 000 vaccinees after the second dose with mRNA-1273 are among the highest reported.3,4,32,33 Our finding of a higher risk of myocarditis after mRNA-1273 than after BNT162b2 in this group is in line with data from the US, Canada, France, and England.”

personally I think myocarditis is a false flag scary story
If you know anything about vaccines or human nature, operation warp speed was a colossally stupid thing to do. Vaccine history is lettered with failures and unintended consequences when those involved were trying to get it right.
No one involved in this fiasco had any concern about getting it right. The main two motivations were getting Trump and making money. Trump was played.
Everyone knew he would double down on destruction of critical institutions like healthcare and military.
More freedom lost under trump than an prez in my lifetime.
Next he will double down with mail in ballots next.
His unconstitutional abuse of the EUA is noted. So are his big pharma billions.

Even if all you claim about Trump being duped yet again by all his appointed staffers and administrators throughout his term were true, that wouldn’t begin to excuse his refusing to scream denunciations from his lungs since then to apologize, warn people, and stop the evil still going down.
When the truth comes out about the death shots, Big Pharma is going to lay the blame at Trump’s feet saying, “we were being pressured by the President (Trump) to roll out the vax before it had been tested properly.”
He’s foolish to keep claiming this as a victory. Didn’t he put Judas in charge of the pandemic?
Speed is not a good thing when it comes to Vaccines as history has proven, I suspect this will come back to bite him when he runs in 2024...Trump can’t get out of his own way.
I’d keep my mouth shut on this topic if I were him.
I've been saying for years that the frankenshot was a mistake and the MSM will start harping on is as such and blame Trump (but oddly not big Pharma) to take him down when 2024 ramps up.
BTW Trump just took as huge cash donation from Pfizer recently...
You all must remember how the thinking was back then. (Only 2.5 years ago). People are lauding DeSantis but I remember being pushed into the vaccines back then here in Florida. We went on line and played a game of who can beat who with getting an appointment. Some folks had two or three sessions opened on their laptops to sign in and getting their appointment for the jab.After getting an appointment, they had special areas (here in Florida ) to drive into with your car and just stick your arm out the window for a quick shot and then a booster was given shortly after. It was something we were proud of, something we lauded. It was our ticket to freedom. So we were told. Love our gov but he did nothing to discourage this, neither did Trump. Nor the doctors. You go with the information provided to you by the “experts”. Heck I figured it would be effective like the measles etc vaccine so we were anxious to get it. Doctors and hospitals demanded it.
