Former President Donald Trump has dismissed claims that COVID-19 vaccines are broadly unsafe while asserting that his own role in the development of the vaccines may have saved 100 million lives.
Trump touted the effectiveness of Operation Warp Speed, his administration's program to accelerate the development of COVID-19 vaccines and therapeutics, during a Monday interview on the conservative podcast The Water Cooler.
Host David Brody asked the former president if he would "acknowledge" that the vaccines "were not as safe or effective as we were told....
"I was able to get something approved that, you know, that has proven to have saved a lot of lives," Trump said, ignoring Brody's request to weigh in on the anti-vaccine narrative. "Some people say that I saved 100 million lives worldwide."
Trump touted the speed of vaccine development under his program, saying that he was "able to get [the vaccines] done in nine months...."
..."You have to understand, there are the pros and cons," said Trump. "Some reports [say] that it's the greatest thing that's ever happened and we saved tens of millions of lives. Then you'll read other reports [that] say there were some problems with the vaccine...but relatively small numbers....

As usual, Trump is right. Op Warp Speed knocked years off the approval process and put a voluntary vaccine out to the public in less than 10 months
MAGA 2024
Trump is wrong to be still promoting those mRNA shots.
He needs to be deeply briefed on Sweden.
Without the vaccines, the Democrat governors would have kept their states locked down forever
So you’re saying without the vaccines, the Republicans would have won the midterm elections by a lot more?
You’re right, the important thing is tat pharmaceutical executives make a lot more money.
Time is past for the CDC to have its clock cleaned.
Meanwhile, his potential rival DeSantis has called for investigations into “potential vaccine crimes,” as he put it. 2024 gonna be interesting.
He was wrong on so much or this from the start.
IMO he is done politically.
what about Sweden? High acceptance of Pfizer vaccine, high compliance with stay at home/social distancing, travel/entry restrictions and legal penalties for infecting others:
” At the end of December 2022, 86.4 per cent of the population aged 12 or older had been vaccinated with at least two doses. Of the population aged 18 or older, 66.6 per cent had been vaccinated with three doses. Of the population aged 65 or above, 81.4 per cent had been vaccinated with four doses.
According to the Public Health Agency of Sweden (Folkhälsomyndigheten), a high level of vaccine coverage has been the most important condition for restrictions to be removed.
Certain advice and recommendations are still in place:
Everyone aged 12 and older should be vaccinated against Covid-19.
Stay home and avoid contact with others if you have symptoms that may be Covid-19.
Adults who have not been vaccinated should avoid congestion and large crowds indoors.

He needs to be deeply briefed on Sweden.
I did a little research on Sweden's short suspension of the Moderna vaccine because of a rise in incidence of myocarditis. The below link does a thorough, easily understood, analysis of the situation with Sweden.

Newsweek is so interested in tge vaccine issue.
They interviewing Pfizer?
Trump is the establishment candidate - by definition.
And the SwampJab Superhero - by delusion.
DeSantis looks better every day.
I’m a firm believer in Social Distancing, just not the 6 ft kind.
From my front door to the mailbox it is greater than 1/20 mile [264 ft.]
So I’m currently a believer in 264 ft. as a good social distance. Especially being outside. Seems to be working.
As much as I love The Donald, he is out of touch on this topic and should keep his mouth shut.
I read that Puerto Rico has a high vaccination rate. They also have a very low 1,657 deaths per 1,000,000 population. Utah has a slightly better 1,627 deaths per 1,000,000 population, with Vermont, 1,412, and Hawaii, 1,250.
Puerto Rico boasts a 95% of the population receiving at least one dose of the vaccine – and nearly 84% fully vaccinated. I wish that word, “vaccine hesitancy,” was a pronoun not to be considered.
Trump - establishment candidate? bwaaaahahaaa - that’s why the establishment has been trying to tar and feather him for the last 6 years? alrighty then
Guy generally has his ear pretty close to the ground.
He’s off by a country mile on this.
This is going to wind up very bad for people who lied, while calling
everyone else liars.
He did increase the speed of approval, but they put out a toxic product, not his fault, they planned it this way.
ha! - that’s about the same distance to my mailbox. Anyone that comes thru the gate to get closer has to get past the watch goose. Not quite as good as a watch donkey but it eats a lot less :)
