You all must remember how the thinking was back then. (Only 2.5 years ago). People are lauding DeSantis but I remember being pushed into the vaccines back then here in Florida. We went on line and played a game of who can beat who with getting an appointment. Some folks had two or three sessions opened on their laptops to sign in and getting their appointment for the jab.After getting an appointment, they had special areas (here in Florida ) to drive into with your car and just stick your arm out the window for a quick shot and then a booster was given shortly after. It was something we were proud of, something we lauded. It was our ticket to freedom. So we were told. Love our gov but he did nothing to discourage this, neither did Trump. Nor the doctors. You go with the information provided to you by the “experts”. Heck I figured it would be effective like the measles etc vaccine so we were anxious to get it. Doctors and hospitals demanded it.
I don’t think they knew.
But Desantis has admitted it was wrong. Trump doubled down on stupidity.
