Attorney General Merrick Garland named a special counsel to investigate former President Donald Trump, not President Joe Biden, two weeks after Biden’s classified briefings and documents were discovered at the Penn Biden Center.
On November 18, Garland named former federal prosecutor Jack Smith special counsel for two probes by the Department of Justice of Trump. About two weeks prior, on November 2, Biden’s classified documents were reportedly unearthed at Biden’s so-called “think tank,” the Penn Biden Center, by the president’s attorney.
The timeline suggests Garland appointed a special counsel to investigate Biden’s 2024 presidential political opponent for allegedly mishandling classified documents while potentially knowing Biden had allegedly committed the same violation.
Garland could have known about Biden’s mishandling of documents just six days before the midterm elections. Critics say Garland’s decision to not disclose to revelations before January was a political calculation to benefit Democrats in the midterms.
Biden has claimed he did not know classified documents were stashed at the Penn Biden Center, but Mike Davis, founder and president of the pro-Trump Article III Project, called Biden’s claim “nonsense.”
“Biden moved these stolen classified records twice: a. Before January 20, 2017 (left White House) b. After moving into new office in February 2018,” he tweeted. “Biden had these stolen classified records in his personal files. Garland must appoint a Special Counsel.”
In September, Joe Biden was asked about the classified documents at Mar-a-Lago.
He said he didn't know "how anyone could be that irresponsible" and questioned "what data was in there that may compromise sources and methods?" pic.twitter.com/jvw8FcBZZj

“Vice presidents cannot declassify documents. And the fact that Joe Biden is in possession of classified documents when he was vice president, signals we need to have a serious investigation into this,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) told C-SPAN.
That is one scumbag of a man.
He’s one of the cabal lawyers. Elias is another. Weissman. The list of imbedded Commie America-hating scum seems endless.
Just the idea that these Biden Docs were found at a “think tank” suggests this is way beyond what Trump had in his possession.
Indeed, he could have known. That deserves further inquiry.
But no matter, he knows NOW, which based on the Trump precedent, under this AG, should warrant no-knock early morning RAIDS of Biden properties to ensure further crimes aren't being concealed. Anything else demonstrates an obvious double standard.
I have dreams of Garland in Gitmo.
Get him under oath.
Hasn’t he already had to FBI and his own department go over
the files from Mara Lago?
How many tries do these guys get, with no new information
whatsoever?
Meanwhile the nation is falling apart with various groups
terrorizing the nation’s cities at will.
Muckrack Fartland, so filthy dirty he needs two showers.
Note: There are zero whistleblowers over this at the FBI or DOJ. The FBI needed to be shuttered and the DOJ needs every employee replaced and several woke and leftist organizations within completely eliminated.
I dream of mob dragging him through the streets like Muammar Gaddafi.
p
The Special Counsel is now a big waste of time and money. This is just another attack of Trump by the Democrats. It’s time to end this.
Presidents always have access to classified documents. They need it to do their job.
As much as we may loathe Mitch McConnell, could you imagine Garland on the Supreme Court?
This is why I try to give Mitch an extra measure of grace - not easy to do, but just think "what if"?
I agree. The only reason for him to take documents to a 'think tank' is to support the analytical work they are doing there by non-governmental people. Highly highly likely he shared SCI info with some academics, probably foreign nationals included in that list. Best case scenario would be he referred to it for his own use and didnt show it to others but only referred to it in discussions. That's not actually better. Still illegal to disclose classified info like that.
UPenn Can’t Explain Mystery Donation From Chinese Company

The University of Pennsylvania pocketed a $3 million donation last year from a mysterious Hong Kong shell company that is owned by a Shanghai businessman with deep ties to Chinese government officials.
The donation from Xu Xeuqing, who has no apparent connection to the University of Pennsylvania and was previously embroiled in a Shanghai public corruption scandal, raises questions about the true source of the money. Documents reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon show Xeuqing has close ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
China has poured money into American universities in recent years, in part to buy influence on campuses, experts say. The donation comes as federal prosecutors have increased scrutiny on the Chinese government’s influence-buying and espionage operations at American universities.
“Unequivocally they’re using the money they’re providing the universities to garner influence there,” said Ben Freeman, the director of the Foreign Influence Transparency Initiative at the Center for International Policy. “It’s not the sole motive, but it’s one of a variety of motives.”
Foreign money has poured into the school over the past few years with a significant portion coming from China. The Ivy League school received $61 million in gifts and contracts from China between March 2017 and the end of 2019; over the previous four year period, it took in just $19 million from Chinese donors.
The University of Pennsylvania received the $3 million in question from a Hong Kong-based company called “Nice Famous Corporation Limited,” according to financial disclosures.

VP Biden, his son Hunter, and Hunter’s daughter Finnegan, arrived in Beijing..........on an official US visit financed by taxpayers.
Throughout the tax-paid trip, Hunter Biden seemed to duck in and out, sometimes joining his father at events and red-carpet arrival ceremonies, and at other times following his own itinerary, presumably with his daughter Finnegan. As is customary, the White House did not provide details about what the vice president’s relatives were doing when they were not part of his public events.
What else Hunter Biden may have done during the tax-paid two-day stop in China is unclear. There are no indications he met with Chinese government officials. Mesires, the spokesman, said that he did not conduct any business during the tax-paid trip — including when he met with Li, the Chinese banker and his nascent business partner.
Several former White House officials who traveled with Biden on the tax-paid trip told NBC News that they didn’t know at the time that Hunter Biden had any business interests in China and were unaware of his private schedule while in Beijing.
Reporters along for the trip also indicated no one was aware of Hunter’s mega business deal in China.

Twelve days after Hunter stepped off Air Force Two in Beijing with his VP dad and daughter, on an official tax-paid trip, Hunter’s nascent privarcompany signed a historic deal with the Bank of China, the state-owned financial behemoth often used as a tool of the Chinese government.
The Bank of China had created a first-of-its-kind investment fund called Bohai Harvest RST (BHR). According to BHR, one of its founding partners was none other than Rosemont Seneca Partners LLC.
It was an unprecedented arrangement: (A) the government of one of America’s fiercest competitors, the Chinese Communist government. going into business with the son of one of America’s most powerful decision-makers, then VP-Biden....Pres Obama’s point man in China.
Chris Heinz (John Kerry’s stepson) claims neither he nor Rosemont Seneca Partners, the firm he had part ownership of, had any role in the deal with Bohai Harvest. Nonetheless, Biden, Archer and the Rosemont name became increasingly involved with China.
Archer became the vice chairman of Bohai Harvest, helping oversee some of the fund’s investments.
Troublingly, some of those investments had major implications for US national security........including the safety and security of Americans.
<><> Ironically, Hunter Biden’s father, the vice president, met earlier with Chinese President Hu Jintao in Washington as part of the Nuclear Security Summit as Obama’s point man on all things China.
<><> In December 2014, Hunter’s company, BHR became an “anchor investor” in the IPO of China General Nuclear Power Corp. (CGN), the Communist state-owned energy company involved in the construction of nuclear reactors.
<><> In April 2016, the US Justice Department would charge CGN with stealing nuclear secrets from the United States — actions prosecutors said could cause “significant damage to our national security.”
Of particular interest to CGN were sensitive, American-made components that, according to experts, resembled components used by the US on its nuclear submarines.
Joe Biden later bragged that he did not discuss Hunter’s business interests on the 20-hour flight to China.Nor would he. The details of a mega-deal...... with larger importance to the Biden family fortunes....... were certainly worked out weeks ahead in VP Biden’s tax-paid office utilizing Biden’s tax-paid staff.
The alacrity with which Hunter seemingly sewed up the billion dollar deal shorty after arriving is significant. Because the details were already hashed out when he boarded Air Force Two. Joe and Hunter surely allowed themselves a high five. No need to discuss the deal on the trip over.....it was fait accompli....thanks to the VP’s tax-paid help.
