A defiant Congressman-elect George Santos complained Tuesday night that “everybody wants to nitpick” him for lying to voters about his job experience, education and religion, insisting there was room for debate about the extent of his flagrant falsehoods.
Santos, a 34-year-old Republican who was elected Nov. 8 to represent Long Island’s North Shore in the House of Representatives, made the comments on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” after coming clean to The Post a day before about his grand deception.
When guest host Tulsi Gabbard asked Santos if he “had no shame,” the Republican turned the question back on the former Democratic lawmaker.
“Tulsi, I can say the same thing about the Democrats and, and the party,” Santos responded. “Look at Joe Biden. Joe Biden’s been lying to the American people for 40 years. He’s the president of the United States. Democrats over-resoundingly support him. Do they have no shame?”

Toss ethics and rules out the window. The left stopped playing by them long, long ago and now the country is hanging in the balance. I dont like what Santos did but I say never apologize, never give in, never admit wrong doing. Stick it in their faces...Hillary lied to the world over an over and is still lying today about Russia and Trump. Biden lies every day about everything. Time to punch the left in the face.
As soon as they swear him in, they’ll file ethics charges and vote...and I bet they can do it all in the first week they’re in session.
This guys a turd, pure and simple.
However the real scandal isn’t that his guys a turd... the real scandal is just how much of a joke the news/media are that this guy got away with these lies through the entire campaign.
Anyone and I do mean anyone, who would have bothered to simply challenge anything this guy claimed and done the most basic of research would have uncovered his lies.. and this should have happened during the campaign... if only someone, anyone in the media/news had bothered to even do even the slightest bit of their job... or at least what they claim their job is.
The real scandal here is this guy is a symptom of the fact that the news/media/industrial complex is simply a propaganda machine that exists to cover up and bury the truth not discover and report it.

Why stop there? Obama’s entire “autobiography “ was a work of fiction. Bill Clinton’s serial lies are notorious. If it weren’t for lies, slander and hypocritical BS, the Democrats would hardly be able to talk at all.

However if Santos really were worried about the consequence of his lies, he could remove all criticism by claiming that he lied about being a Republican—then he’d be hailed as being courageous.
On the one hand, he’s right that, for decades, Joe Biden has told whopper after whopper about his education, background and resume... and gets away with it. And, yet, “Joe Biden has been a lying phony for 40 years, so it’s fine for me to be a lying phony too” isn’t a good look.

GOP obviously didn’t vet or didn’t care if they did that he was a liar.
His opponent surely didn’t do a good job researching him.
However those 2 folks don’t claim to have any vested interest other than winning an office, so reliance on them to tell you the truth is just wrong to begin with, neither are in a position to tell the truth.
The media however claims they are the 4th estate, that they hold the powerful accountable and seek the truth... that’s what they claim... if that is true in any level, which it clearly is not, this guy should have never gotten past a few weeks into the primary season at most before being caught... and he wasn’t because they didn’t bother to even try to look into anything he said or claimed.
What passes as News is propaganda, period.
