Moscow's proposals for settlement in Ukraine are well known to Kyiv and either Ukraine fulfils them for their own good or the Russian army will decide the issue, TASS agency quoted Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov as saying.
"Our proposals for the demilitarization and denazification of the territories controlled by the regime, the elimination of threats to Russia's security emanating from there, including our new lands, are well known to the enemy," the state news agency quoted Lavrov as saying late on Monday.
"The point is simple: Fulfil them for your own good. Otherwise, the issue will be decided by the Russian army."

There were two Chechen wars - Russian mostly lost the first one, but one the second one. Things there are, IMHO, only quiet because V. Putin allowed Kaderov to rise to power.
As for the style of fighting - its attrition, use massive artillery bombardments, keep throwing men and resources at the enemy - losses are irrelevant.
That is basically the Soviet Doctrine unchanged since WWII. Only the Wagner Group rises above that and are somewhat effective.

Not only unlikely, but impossible. No trained troops, no artillery shells, except what they can get from North Korea, no high tech, except what they can get from Iran. The list goes on.

Curious how many ethnic Estonians Latvians Lithuanians, Poles, Ukrainians and others under the control of the Soviet Union were cleansed or relocated, I would say that many if not most of the 8 million you are referring to arrived after the Soviet Union did their thing. How many Russians have migrated to Crimea since 2014 and are they part of your 8 million?
