The Twitter files on the government's coordination with Twitter to silence experts and control the narrative around Covid just dropped and I just have to say, the "conspiracy theorists" are batting 1000.
It's not surprising that these things were happening.
Anyone who was paying attention KNEW that the government was pressuring Twitter to censor inconvenient facts if they contradicted the official state narrative.
David Zweig – a journalist who has written for The Atlantic, The Wall Street Journal, New York Magazine, The New York Times, The New Yorker, and Wired – documents the ways in which Twitter gave up its responsibility to free speech and caved to government pressure and used improper methods to censor legitimate and true speech.

It wasn't unique to the Biden administration to work with social media to control the public narrative, the state agencies under the Trump administration did the same thing.
The Trump administration worked to calm people who were panic buying and making runs on grocery stores. And this also shows that the government, to no one's surprise, was not just working with Twitter.
Then we have the Biden admin come in to really push the vaccines and squelch anyone who spoke out against the Fauci ouchie, and target #1 was Alex Berenson.
We've known for a few months that Twitter unfairly targeted Berenson and that the government was in on it. This just reveals that, in order to push the vax, the government was aiming specifically at him.

The Biden administration was so censorious that they thought Twitter, which was busy nuking accounts for sharing CDC data, wasn't doing ENOUGH to censor tweets.
TWITTER was more pro-free speech than the BIDEN ADMINISTRATION.
Let that sink in.
Of course, this doesn't mean Twitter was defending speech.
They reviewed and then suspended a Harvard medical expert, not because he was wrong, but because he disagreed with the CDC's jab recommendation.
In the same way MANY doctors and experts worldwide disagreed with indiscriminate vaccinations.
And this sort of thing happened over and over and over again.
The tweet was locked for citing CDC data to debunk a FALSE tweet that Twitter left up.
It wasn't about stopping misinformation.
It was about pushing an agenda.
They suspended this account from Twitter because they said something that was simply true.
But they have to control the narrative.
The mind rot on display here, from Twitter and the government, is beyond comprehension.
Lastly, check out how Twitter handled decisions relating to President Trump.
These folks at Twitter had been watching too much CNN, I guess.
I remember the mainstream media blowup when Trump, rightly, told people not to be dominated by Covid.
This was seen by some on the wacky Left as a dangerous message and the people in charge of Twitter bought into that same nonsense.
At the end of the thread, Zweig asks all the right questions:
What might have been if Twitter, and other social media companies, had allowed free speech to happen and didn't simply comply with the government's agenda-driven message?
Unfortunately, we'll never know.
The real question for the future is this: How do we stop it from happening again?

I love Trump, but you’re right in that he should just say what happened. Trouble is, once someone starts apologizing (which would HAVE to include naming names for blame), he sounds pathetic, and it’s OVER There’s no good option for him now.

On Friday, my PCP tried to talk me into getting a flu shot. She dropped the subject when she saw the look on my face.

I feel like that’s imminent. He’s already defaulted on all of his leases and talks incessantly about twitter going bankrupt.
I am pro-inoculation. I am anti-vax. There is a difference. It’s the delivery method mechanisms with vaccines I have a problem with.
Twitter and other social media have been manipulated to shape public opinion, not to measure it.

Yeah. It’s “a thing.”
All the truly outlandish Flat Earth, 5G, chem trails nut bar chatter has been used to dilute and discredit emergent discoveries about the mRNA shots. Pro mRNA evangelists have used these truly lunatic ideas like a f’n anvil to beat the actual truth out of vax hesitancy, out of vax injury, out of vax inefficacy, and other actually serious topics revolving around COVID and treatments for it.
I’ve bludgeoned people verbally for condemning mRNA and 5G in the same breath, making the point that any invalidity on the one topic will serve to damn the other, but it does little or no good. Such raving, witless, bubble-brained lickspittles MUST, as a matter of psychological necessity, lump all their to-be-reviled evils together into a single wad of (so they think) mutually reinforcing sins. The supposition, here, is that the whole lot is more easily carted off to Hell as a single load.
Never calculated is the real probability that their crock of allegedly mutual bogeymen contains one or more that hail not from Hell, but from that fertile field of fiction: overnight AM talk radio, where topics as variant as chem trails, chemotherapy, and Chupacabra meld into an indifferentiable tapestry of bug-eyed paranoia.
Keeping topics separate as a matter of rendering them immune from any criticisms of which their peers may be susceptible is a too-foreign notion on the political right, a truly critical chink in our political armor; like an innocuous thermal exhaust port running straight through all the multiple layers of our defenses straight to our Main Reactor.
What could POSSIBLY go wrong?
I’ve never bought into the 5G stuff enough to even look into it but now that I know fedgov has tried to censor people about it, I might have to.
I don’t expect to find much nefariousness that I’ll think is valid though. I am suspicious about why fedgov is so hell bent on getting every single person on high speed internet, including 5G at some point. My DSL through the phone company is working fine for me. I did a zoom type meeting not too long ago and can stream all the free streaming services.

The real question for the future is this: How do we stop it from happening again?

Unless there is a price to pay, it will most definitely happen again.
Fauci said that working with Trump as opposed to working with Biden was like working with mendacity as opposed to simple honesty. I’m certain that he preferred the mendacious Biden, because he matched his own character.
