Freedom Caucus Rep. Bob Good (VA-5) joined the nationally-syndicated Stew Peters Show and vowed never to vote for Kevin McCarthy for Speaker of the House, telling the host that the GOP establishment leader will be defeated on the House floor during January 3rd’s speakership vote if he doesn’t step aside first, for the good of the country.
Freedom Caucus Rep. Bob Good has been among those legislators leading the charge against establishment leader Kevin McCarthy’s speakership campaign, forging serious and continued opposition with other House conservatives, who vow that CCP-tied, FTX-funded McCarthy will NEVER be Speaker of the House.
During his appearance on the Stew Peters Show, a program that’s become a top destination for America First legislators who want to speak directly to the American People, Good doubled down on his opposition to Kevin McCarthy’s speakership campaign and said he’s confident that his conservative colleagues will stand tall alongside him on January 3rd.
“I have told my colleagues, the 20 or so who are part of this movement, we will remember what we do on January 3rd and beyond for the rest of our lives,” Rep. Good told Stew Peters.
“We must meet the moment. We must rise to the occasion to try to bring transformational change, to defeat the swamp cartel, the uni-party, by doing what hasn’t been done for 100 years where we deny the next in line, majority leader, minority leader, what have you, the vote for Speaker on the House floor, and we take down that supposed favorite for that position to bring true transformational change,” the Freedom Caucus Rep. from Virginia went on.
“We will remember for the rest of our lives that we stood strong and struck a blow against the uni-party, the swamp cartel,” said Rep. Good.

Their GOP friends are signing on to a bill that would leave the incoming GOP neutered for a year and the American people not only being duped once again by the GOP but F’ed once again
You won’t though.
The DC swamp thing is harder to kill than imagined.
To many of the voices here I add my own ... if not McCarthy then who? Is there a reliable conservative in the House who isn’t afraid of leadership? Someone who isn’t afraid use the same threatening tactics that Nasty Pelosi used to keep her Ds in line?
I’m not too sure that any of the R’s have the backbone ...
Stop with the MTG fearmomgering.
A Democrat won’t be elected Speaker.
An alternative will emerge after McCarthy loses the 1st and 2nd vote.
While the GOP still had the Senate, McCarthy was running nationwide radio adds saying he would repeal and replace Obamacare, he did nothing
Every dem and a few repubs elect Liz Cheney as speaker? Remember, it doesn't have to be a current member of congress.
You bring up a good point. We need a Conservative, but also a good parliamentarian. Someone who knows how the rules of congress work inside and out. The conundrum seems to be that any such person that has come to understand the system has then become corrupted by the system.
How do we get someone savvy enough to game the system so as to clean up the system rather than to ensure that the rotten den of corruption persists?
“..Could have stopped it? How???...”
The same way Rats worked against Trump.
He could have worked behind the scenes to ensure not a single GOP rep would have anything to do with it or vote for it. He could have pressured McConnell for the same (even though it probably would have been fruitless). It’s called “leadership”, it’s called “balls”. Just like McConnell...He has neither....just another UniParty hack pigging out on the swill in the tax trough.
Since the Speaker of the House does not have to be a member of the House, I’d propose Louis Gohmert, outgoing East Texas Congressman ! And while they are at it, replace McConnell as Minority Leader with Senator Kennedy of La.
She’s a YGL of the WEF!
I understand but think you need to trust these guys.
Trusting "these guys" is what has gotten us into this mess.
Trusting "these guys" is what led to calls for a second Tea Party.(event, not political org)
Our trust in "these guys" resulted in Mr. Trump throwing his hat into the ring in 2015.
Our misplaced trust in "these guys" is what led to the debacle of the 115th Congress.
IMO, trust should be EARNED, not blindly granted. "These guys" have DONE nothing to earn that trust. Yeah, they may promise to do what's good for the nation, they smile all pretty, they scowl on the right cues, but when it comes to DOING something substantive,....?
HJ....you're right.
Except for less than a handful, they are ALL worth about as much as a bucket of goat phlegm.
Scalise would be only marginally better but I think this is where its going. Scalise wants the job but he can’t come out and say it. He’s waiting to be drafted.
The GOP needs to elevate McCarthy, organize leadership, hire staff, and govern. This pissing contest is harming our country.
You seem to be saying RINOs will not behave as RINOs.
IMO, at the tactical level we have 3 parties and the RINOs will play to either of the two remaining that offers the most; with "the most" not necessarily being what is best for American voters.
For the most part, McCarthy played ball with Trump when Trump was President and he’s pretty much played ball with the Biden administration as Minority Leader. As Minority Leader he could have fought harder and spoken out more regarding Jan. 6th and the election theft. His backing of Establishment candidates in the mid-terms is troubling. But in practical terms, as Minority Leader, he had little control over the legislative agenda, particularly when the Speaker was someone who had no respect for parliamentary procedure. If he ends up getting elected as Speaker, as he probably will, the Freedom Caucus needs to hold his feet to the fire constantly and be willing to oust him mid-term if he doesn’t support a MAGA agenda.
“Is there a reliable conservative in the House who isn’t afraid of leadership? Someone who isn’t afraid use the same threatening tactics that Nasty Pelosi used to keep her Ds in line?”
There are a few. Jim Jordan and Matt Gaetz come to mind. But their chances of winning the speakership are almost zero.
Jim Jordan. Or Lauren Boebert. I Marjorie Taylor Greene. That’s what we need right now.
Pelosi is a dirtbag, but she fought. Hate the witch, but admire the determination.
We need a younger, pissed-off, America-First street fighter in that position.
A Middle finger in their face Speaker. Someone who will tear up a democrat state of the union speech in THEIR faces.
Young, smart, honest, frankly good looking...
Elise would certainly be a favorable contrast for the low information crowd.
Although I personally think someone like Chip Roy would be fun to watch. Fat chance of that.
Some reason he supports the war with Russia - Orders from upper management.
