Good evening/morning, radu...has the weather gone bad for you yet? How are the heaters in the pump houses?
I sure don’t envy the process you have for keeping an eye on the heaters...it’s cold outside. Hope your car battery is up to the task of not freezing.

Sorry, ladies, for the cold weather. What a weird winter so far.
Stay warm as best you can...thank goodness it will warm back in a few days.
radu...ingenious dragging the Mercedes out and getting your Town Car in!
Are you settled in now for the duration...sitting out the cold?

It has been a weird winter. I thought it’d never cool off and then BOOM! We have 10 degrees, the same as you do in Alaska. Go figure.
I don’t plan on getting out except to feed and water the kitties. It’ll be a high of 50 on Sunday. :) You on the other hand, will be in a deep freeze nearly till summer. I don’t know how you do it. Really.

Oh my goodness...that is quite a hill. At least you all knew what needed to be done to get to Birch. Sounds like you were all responsible drivers and were there to help each other if need be.
And hoping you weren’t the one that didn’t make it.

Thanks for telling me about the aurora. I pulled it up. Then I wished they had lingered on it for a longer time. But, maybe the cam just moves automatically.
I was relieved to see them being together. It really will help them. I had no idea where Coal would stay, even though one of the “caves” out back is seldom used. I’m sure the boys are in the shed together, and Grey has probably been in the greenhouse. That’s her go to when she isn’t in her cave on the patio.
I think I’ll watch one more show and then head to the barn. It’s cold here in the kitchen. We have to leave the door to the garage open so the cats can access their litter box. I know...wasteful of heat, but I don’t want it in the house. Ugh.
See ya tomorrow. Stay warm and I hope you don’t have to get out for any reason. I’m guessing you already checked on the heaters in the well houses. Before the freeze got there.

But, but, but...wind power is supposed to be the solution for everything.
Did they lie?

Hey there. Kathy.
Yep, the weather’s tanked already. It was 50 or so this afternoon, 45 at 9:30 tonight, 30 at 10:30, and it 15 now. Still dropping. Had a little rain and very little snow.
The heaters were fine this afternoon when I checked and I need to check them before I go to bed to make sure they’re set right.
The Town Car is in the garage here at the house and that will keep its battery warm. I’ll probably need to put some cat litter on the concrete pad outside the door so I can get the car back in the garage. It’s glazed with ice.
I reeeeeeeeally don’t want to go out there but better safe than sorry. If the heaters need to be adjusted, now’s the time to do it.
Are your knees happy after your appointments today? They probably needed the work I=since you didn’t get to go last week.

It HAS been a weird winter but is pretty much going with what Farmer’s Almanac predicted. :-(
As long as the power stays on, we’re plenty warm. It blipped hard a couple of times earlier and almost gave me a heart attack. it took a couple of minutes for my heart to slow down. LOL
Hubby’s cousin saved the say regarding that d*** Mercedes. It can stay outside for all I care. I do need to find the key and that will give me something to do this weekend while I’m holed up.
Holing up is the plan this weekend, other than checking the pump houses. I need to go ahead and do it because it’s only going to get colder as the night wears on.

yes, the LH cam is on auto and pans back and forth slowly when a cam op isn’t playing with it. It’s always on auto at night.
I’d say it’s a relief to know the kitties are cuddling up together to stay warm. Grey is probably curled up I front of that heater.
Haven’t checked the heaters tonight but am getting ready to bundle up to do it now. NOT looking forward to it AT ALL but it must be done.
Sleep well. Catch ya tomorrow.

One of our favorites is "A Christmas Carol" but the George C. Scott version.
"A Wonderful Life is a classic.
It can't be Christmas without the Peanuts Gang.
Die Hard is a Christmas movie. ;~}
