SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (TND) — Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, is convinced he would win a second term in the U.S. Senate if he runs again, despite failing twice at becoming the Republican nominee for president and being known for breaking from his GOP colleagues during certain standoffs with Democrats.
"I’m convinced that if I run, I win," Romney told Politico while discussing his potential bid for reelection that would come up in 2024.
Probably the most noteworthy divergence Romney has taken from his own party was when he voted in favor of impeaching former President Donald Trump, becoming the first U.S. lawmaker in history to vote in favor of ousting a president belonging to their own party.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is urging Romney to run again, according to Politico.
"He's been a really important part of our conference," McConnell said, according to the outlet. "People respect his intelligence, his assessment of the era we find ourselves in. And I think his running for reelection would be very important. It’s important for the Republican Party and the country."

Until we get the media, which is probably never, on our side will always have it harder and what is happening in California will go countrywide eventually. Probably in 15 years, most republicans will only succeed in very small local elections.
And, better even than that, if you follow Mormonism's arcane rules; you get your own planet when you die.
Perhaps I shoulda known sooner but I realize now its not a party thing. Its a corruption thing, a spiritual rot.
Until this country a) undergoes a spontaneous spiritual revival (unlikely) or b) suffers such a traumatic calamity that it is forced into acknowledging the sovereignty of God.
Then things will only get worse here no matter how we vote.
