There are devils, Evil devils. Nixonian evil devils. And then there's Donald Trump. He takes evil to "a new level." That was the Morning Joe take today.
Joe Scarborough said that Richard Nixon "used to be seen as the embodiment of evil by many in the Oval Office."
Scarborough then quoted the unhinged leftist Hunter S. Thompson:
"Richard Nixon was an evil man, evil in a way that only those who believe in the physical reality of the devil can understand. He was utterly without any ethics or morals, or any bedrock sense of decency."
But Scarborough took issue with Thompson. According to Joe, there's a new champ of the evil presidents on the block. Said Scarborough:
"Actually, all these years later, after six years of Donald Trump, I would say that not only Richard Nixon, but just about every president that preceded the 45th president, obviously deserves a relook. This is a new level."

Amazing how leftists and liberals have such a visceral hatred for the man who started affirmative action, created the EPA and OSHA, tried to push through a guaranteed annual income, curtailed our missile defense with the ABM Treaty, supported the Equal Rights Amendment, appointed the justice who wrote Roe vs. Wade, established a government-run passenger rail service, and increased domestic spending at all levels.

Nixon was a little too liberal for my tastes but he wasn’t a particularly bad president. He got taken down by the deep state too, wonder why they hated him so much.

I’ve referred many people to “Silent Coup: The Removal of a President” as I think it is the best take of the entire Watergate affair. Wonder why they hated him? On one level, it was a coup....on another, it was all about John Dean playing coverup about his connection to a prostitute organization run by Heidi Rakan.

When/if the GOP ever takes the White House (DOJ, FBI, etc.) the word should get leaked to Banjo Boy that this case is going to be re-opened. No statute of limitations on murder. He might pee his pants.
You reminded me of the film Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991) in which Spock quoted an old Vulcan proverb, "only Nixon could go to China."
I’m no fan of Nixon but evil? I suppose those that love mass murderers like Che Guevara have a real turned around moral outlook.

Nixon was way left. You called it. But he really torked off somebody.
It was his Florida district office in Ft. Walton Beach, not in DC. Lori Klausustis was not an intern, but the district office manager, 28, married to an Army MD medical researcher. They had, I think, two children. She was active her Catholic parish and a recreational runner.
