Is Death Real? New Experiments Raise Important Questions On What It Means To Die

(SNIP)

Over the last 70 or so years, declaring death has gotten progressively messier. Scientific advances such as ventilators and life support have made it harder and harder to find the line between being a person and being a body. Now, mind-blowing experiments in pigs, and the development of a souped-up life-support system called OrganEx, are reinvigorating a decades-old debate about how our lives end.

(SNIP)

Yale neurobiologist Nenad Sestan researches genes that control how neurons grow and form connections in the developing brain. To perform these studies, he orders slices of tissue from brain banks around the world. Eight or nine years ago, a specimen from London missed the plane. The extra day it took to arrive was presumed to be catastrophic: Cells die after several minutes without oxygen. It’s one of the first things Sestan recalls learning in medical school.

But Sestan had already noticed that this wasn’t always the case. On several occasions, someone left a brain slab out a few extra hours before moving it into fluid for experiments, yet Sestan had still managed to recover living cells. So when the overdue brain arrived from London, Sestan asked one of his postdoctoral fellows to dissect a piece of it and let it grow in a petri dish containing cellular nutrients. “Maybe something will be there alive,” he said.

It worked; some cells grew. And then it worked again on a second brain the researchers sliced and recovered to make sure the results weren’t a fluke. Sestan started to wonder: If living cells could be preserved from a dead brain, why not try to revive the whole organ?

Using assorted pumps, heaters, and filters to circulate a custom-made blood substitute, Sestan and his coworkers cobbled together a now-patented perfusion system, which they called BrainEx.

I was a university professor and successful business executive when I died and fully experienced Heaven. Suddenly at age 31 my entire own it or control it Type A personality was gone and I found myself studying religion and the mystics to have the full Love of Heaven that is beyond words of description, again.

I managed to do this, while at the same time studying anatomy & physiology, psychology, neuroscience and psychiatry to understand the process Jesus was teaching us in the Bible. I figured it out with the help of the Holy Spirit that is available to everyone.

But the message to me was that it was not time to share publically as people were not ready. People are holding onto their knowledge as a possession and are full of themselves, thus they have no room for new greater understanding. They first need to reach despair to let go of the old.

I have no messiah complex. I’m just an observer and servant as each person must go through the experience themselves and find their own direct connection to God. Never through another human being.

People reaching despair will first surrender their individual will externally in the false process before they really reach despair in a Dark-Night-of-the-Soul experience. They will reach despair and emptiness beyond words of description. Only then can they shift their consciousness and truly surrender their individual will within themselves to God.

This is the death that allows a person to be born again as a soul that occupies their body, rather than being their body. Transcendence is like your consciousness is connected to the internet and you are with and connected to every soul on earth at the same time.

This is the treasure buried in the field. The Love of God is the treasure everyone seeks.

🙏🙏🙏

Death is not graduation, it is merely a semester break between different levels or grades. Transcendence is graduation. It is the purpose for being in these seed pod bodies on earth experiencing life.

Thank you very much for your openness to discuss such things.

The older I grow, the more I am in wonder of our perception of reality - what the brain filters out and what it decides to notice. I am currently a product design engineer. I generate ideas and bring them to reality. The process can be quite extended and many times it (the product) comes about only through my mental processing. Why it takes me days to produce it, when it could have only taken seconds instead, facinatrs me. The brain and mind are very interesting.

More and more, when people ask me important questions, I will say “Give me 24 hours to see what comes to me.”

And the next day, presto, the answer or solution is there.

If someone presses me for an immediate answer, the answer is usually “NO.”

I read all of your posts on this thread. It is clear that you have witnessed some interesting and rather important things. Your posts bring not only comfort but verification of what I seem to be learning. Religious organizations aught to be immersed in these matters; but, they seem to avoid this like the plague.

What you described regarding the relationship between body/soul/spirit is the same as the one given by "Metallicman". He claims to have been utilized by entities that steer human development; and, some are ETs while others are trans-dimensional.

I know full well that our society is headed for a major collapse. Sadly, I think it needs it rather badly. Someone told me that I chose to witness that first hand before I was born. Oddly enough, I suspect that is true.

I have sleep apnea. It seems I have come close to croaking several times during the night. I am often called awake by someone calling my name, the sound of a doorbell, or the sound of a cell phone when no such thing has really happened. I suspect "guardians" of some sort have been keeping me alive. I have also been visited by people who have just died.

So, we know good and well that the spirit world exists. It seems to be a very sophisticated place, I suppose the root place of Creation.

Thank you so much for your posts. They are important, especially to those who are "catching on".

“Give me 24 hours”

That is one of my “life secrets” as well.

In my work life I came up with stunningly creative ideas and solutions to complex problems using that technique.

I think what happens is that when we sleep we can “tap into” some sort of “Idea” place, like that envisioned by Plato.

Sometimes it is called the Akashic record or the collective unconscious or the universal intelligence—but there is something there.

In computer terms it would called “the cloud”.

Both our science and religion have no clue on this stuff—not even close.

“I think what happens is that when we sleep we can “tap into” some sort of “Idea” place”

Exactly. Some of my most creative solutions come about in that zone between awareness and sleep. But I always just attributed it to my mind being freed up from the other peripheral concerns of the world around me. Oddly enough it happens also, to a certain extent, when I am driving/daydreaming....and in the shower or on the can. LOL! Maybe the need to actively be ‘doing something’ relaxes me to the point of opening a channel of creativity. IDK.

Thank you for the comments.

Take a real close look at the keto plan.

Studies have shown that the keytones increase oxygen and decrease the hypoxia. The studies found that free divers could hold their breath much longer under ketosis.

Bottom line, it can offset the side effects of sleep apnea.

The shower is the best place to pray. I actually see the sparkles of light with my eyes closed while doing this.

I too greatly appreciate the openness and willingness of the folks on this thread to discuss these topics. I’ve often thought that the increase in the pace and volume of information being thrown at us daily has far surpassed our human ability to absorb, consider and understand most of it in any meaningful way. In reading them and thinking about life today my Captain Obvious moment was that if I were the enemy of God and knew He created man to be connected with Him in such a way, I would do everything in my power to “overload the circuits” so as to make that connection as difficult as possible. I truly believe that is where we are living today.

"I think the important question is “is life real?”"
IMHO, the only thing you can really know is that this life, yours, mine and all of G-d's creatures are real.

Pick your religion or not as you choose but be good and enjoy heaven on Earth. Its the only thing you can REALLY be certain of.

In a college Philosophy paper I "proved" that man had a conscience and knew right from wrong.

Absent mental illness, ALL surveyed, agreed that "causing a sentient being harm/pain/death, NEEDLESSLY", was wrong, understood as an innate feeling/knowledge.

Got an A+ recorded grade but my paper disappeared (it was placed in a box outside the Prof's office after exams and was gone and lost forever. Oh well ...

I extrapolated from there another set of principles but concluded that our conscience was either proof of G-d's existence and that he wanted us to be good or that it was a built-in survival instinct.

I lean to the former. ;-)

In case I wasn't clear, enjoy this beautiful world, do good and if there is an afterlife you'll be good to go.

❤️

When witing an article we must. First define termms..

Real-and real to whose percepption

I disagree with the pain & suffering criteria..

Pain and suffering are an important part of soul growth. Birth, teaching moments, facilitating change, establishing morals and values... illness identification... the list goes on

We must also learn to rise above the pain.. it actually motivates departure from the physical body at death.

I’ve participated in group discussions where hospice Dr’s and nurses were proud they overdosed hospice patients to help them die. They don’t understand the death prosess.

You can learn to step out of your body to avoud pain without the medication.

Hmmmm. I’ll need to try that then.

Must be the former Catholic in me, but I always thought the shower was too comfortable a place to pray. :)

That is sound advice. It’s a shame your paper disappeared. I lost some well-researched college papers, too, that professors never returned.

For a long time, I believed that everything happens by chance, and when we die, we cease to exist. I did not believe an all-knowing intelligent being created everything. I wondered about our existence, but I figured we could never fully understand. I figured all that exists was created by some force of nature that had no consciousness and, thus, no conscience.

Then, someone made this point (paraphrasing): If you believe everything physical in the universe exists, you must believe the abstract things - consciousness with all its thoughts - exist. So, wouldn’t the force that created it all also have consciousness?

Then, some time passed, and some strange occurrences happened, and my whole point of view changed.

There is something more. Maybe death is merely a transition. For now, all we can do is our best in this world, just as you said.
