Members of Oregon’s LGBTQ community are worried they may not be able to acquire guns, and will therefore be vulnerable, if the gun controls in Ballot Measure 114 (BM 114) are allowed to take effect.
The controls in BM 114 are currently on hold via a temporary restraining order, but further hearings on the specific distinct controls in the measure could result in a partial or complete enactment.
NPR reports that “some of Oregon’s trans and queer gun supporters are worried that a new state law will prevent them from buying firearms.”

Good thing homo domestic disputes are so rare.
Get a hammer!! C’mon man!!
“Well, the big push should be to prevent the mentally ill from having firearms. “
But but but...what about “Shall not be infringed”? (Just getting that in before someone else does.)
I liked the Oregon story of marijuana growers being upset that pollen from legal hemp farms threatened their marijuana crops.
The time to buy a gun is before you need it. How hard is that?
Well, boo effing hoo. You voted for Democrat tyranny. Wallow in it, glitter and all.
Only those who had seen a psychiatrist. That question is still on the form.
They are confusing gun and rifle.

How do the wind turbines factor into this, changing air flows, etc.
Get those pot growers to take those turbines down.
Different part of the State. It doesn’t take much wind to spread marijuana pollen. A friend in high school told me about a study (1970s) done by sticking tape to windshields to remove the pollen there...I think it was a survey of allergens. At the right time of year, marijuana pollen was pretty common.
They shouldn’t have to worry, they are a protected class.
Probably a little late to be figuring this out, no? Special Rights For Special People doesn’t cover firearms, apparently. Embrace the suck, you who voted for it.
Don’t they know that the bill of rights is only for them?
Oh, wait.
The real threat they face is from each other, not from the
outside.
Tempers can run very hot in these circles, because it feels
like a betrayal on a number of levels.
I hardly ever hear of straits going after these folks.
I’m always reading about another one that went postal
because of a break-up.
I checked Lift Every Voice Oregon’s FB page. They’re the main sponsor of BM 114. Apparently there’s a move afoot to get a non-law enforcement agency to do the permit-to-purchase part because the BIPOC community is afraid of them. 🤣. Pretty sure the law, as passed, won’t allow that change.
