A prominent ally of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis with unprecedented access to local authorities and reportedly under investigation for alleged sexual misconduct has died in what is being investigated as a suicide.
Kent Stermon, 50, of Jacksonville, was found dead in a truck parked outside the Atlantic Beach post office around 8 p.m. Thursday, the Florida Times-Union reported.
Stermon had been reported missing by his wife, Christie, after his heart monitor stopped earlier that day, the First Coast News reported.
Shortly after the discovery of his body, police announced they were investigating his death as a suicide.
Stermon was under investigation for alleged sexual misconduct at the time of his death, law enforcement sources told the Times-Union.

Sexual misconduct can mean anything in the MeToo times.
And that Bush II, Bush I, and Reagan endured. And that ended Nixon's presidency ...
If you or I credibly ran for President as a Republican, they'd sling the same mud at us ... even if they had to invent it.
yep
I’m gonna stop thinking for myself for a while and let you carry the load...😉
Nope.
You need to take a trip through the Redneck Riviera to find the true home of Florida Man. Same latitude as Jax, but at the other end of the Panhandle. Pensacola (Escambia County), Walton County, Panama City all have many more rednecks than Jax.
They don’t call the Panhandle LOWER ALABAMA for nothin’.
Just sayin’.
Look no farther than post 18….

Editors don’t exist any more. I think they were purged not only due to the wholly inadequate spellcheck technology, but also because many of them had risen through the ranks and had been educated back in the day in real journalism. Therefore they would have “edited out” the erroneous scare headlines, fake news and propaganda. And a few of them may have been *gasp* politically centrist. So they had to go.
I’m more concerned about open border, China loving club for growth giving him a million dollars.
