Governor of Luhansk region said Ukrainian forces attacked a hotel in Kadiivka

Serhiy Gaidai said survivors face inadequate medical services to treat them

Ukrainian officials also claim up to 200 Russian troops were killed in Melitopol But President Zelensky said situation 'remains very difficult' in frontline cities

Serhiy Gaidai (pictured), the governor of the Russian-occupied Luhansk region, told Ukrainian television that Ukrainian forces have attacked a hotel where members of Russia's brutal private Wagner military group were based

Ukrainian forces have attacked a hotel where members of Russia's brutal private Wagner military group were based, killing many, a local leader has claimed.

Serhiy Gaidai, the governor of the Russian-occupied Luhansk region, told Ukrainian television that forces launched a strike on a hotel in the town of Kadiivka, in the east of the country, on Saturday.

The account could not be verified but photos posted on Telegram channels appear to show a building largely reduced to rubble. Sources in Kyiv say the strike in Kadiivka resulted in 'significant losses', according to the Telegraph.

It comes as Ukrainian officials have also claimed that as many as 200 Russian troops have been killed or wounded in a missile strike in the occupied city of Melitopol.

But Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said yesterday that the situation 'remains very difficult' in several frontline cities in eastern Ukraine's Donetsk and Luhansk provinces.

Mr Gaidai, who has previously reported strikes by Ukrainian forces on other targets in Luhansk region, did not give casualty figures for the incident in Kadiivka, but he said those surviving faced inadequate medical services to treat them.

'I am sure that at least 50 per cent of those who managed to survive will die before they get medical care,' he said. 'This is because even in our Luhansk region, they have stolen equipment.'

Wagner Group is having a rough time in Ukraine. Wagner is the private army that belongs to Putin’s chef, Yevgeny Prigozhin. Who else has his own private army? Ramzan Kadyrov.

These two will combine forces to depose Vlad Putin in March 2023

This event is widely reported and includes video reports of the site. The hotel is said to be the location of officer quarters. Those who died and were wounded and perhaps will die are said the be the Wagner Group Forces officers and leadership.

They were leading the weeks long futile effort to capture Bakhmut.

Actually, Ukraine and the world powers supporting the effort have already won.

Putin just can’t admit defeat

Putin learned that the world is against him too late

Maybe—just maybe—The Ukraine is winning crowd is Right after all. Maybe Russia is so corrupt it can’t win any wars. Their leaders are just to cowardly and unable to win wars—maybe the Russian males in Uniform are just too untrained, to poorly lead to win in Donbass after all. Maybe what I saw as just propaganda—is in real terms correct! The Ukraine doesn’t need our help at all—they will win this on their own. That means that maybe we too have gotten fat and corrupt and even Mexico could invade and beat America, or Canada. We too may suffer from the Russian disease and be a push over for any motivated army. All we have is Money.

Corruption is a factor, but the real problem is that Russia just isn’t. Russia is not a great nation any more than say Mexico or Italy.

Russian greatness is a myth.

Serhiy Gaidai isn’t a Governor Of the Lugansk region. He’s just some Ukrainian appointed to a shadow position that is now part of Russia. His only job is propaganda at this point. But the entity he is supposedly governor of has been annexed and is now part of Russia.

Good news for you, NATO seems to be gearing up to get their killing in Kosovo started again. Remember all the glorious gore when Clinton was bombing Serbia? Hot Dang, more American weapons to kill Serb boys! Can life get any better for the warmongers around here?

Russia and Mexico no, I agree with you

but I'll make an exception for Italy

besides being the home of Rome - which has lasting influences on our Western architecture, legal systems, political systems, etc., Italy was also the place where the Renaissance started, the basis of our modern tolerant/scientifically curious civilization

plus they make damn good food

maybe I'm just biased here, but Italy for me is always the summit of "joie de vivre" ... and I'm not even Italian!!

Lemme guess - during WW2 you would have labeled Edvard Beneš “some Czech appointed to a shadow position” in what is now and forever a part of the Reichsprotectorate of Bohemia and Moravia.

Lugansk wasn’t annexed, it was occupied. It will eventually be deoccupied, just like the rest of Donbas and Crimea.

The Orcs stole all of the medical supplies, equipment and medicines - now there is none. Ironic.
