More importantly, repeal the 19th Amendment.

I agree with you that, regardless of her motivations, this is a ‘dent’ to the party image. But Schumer need not worry; there are plenty of Republicants who will back him when he needs them.

Manchin ought to follow her lead and leave the Democrats too. The Democrats are an elite coastal party that holds the average West Virginian in utter contempt. The Democrats hate the coal industry for crying out loud.

It really doesn't matter how or who she caucuses with, the dems can still get Romney and Murkowski anytime they need them.

I get that but it’s a step in the right direction. It’s a significant crack in the edifice as someone said above.

After the 17trh! There would have been no 19th without the 17th!

Sinema’s move has to be more about the 2022 AZ steal than her complaints about the Dims. She can complain about the Dims all day long — and stay in the party.

Something else is pushing her, and that’d be local politics. Hobbs stole the election, and Sinema needs to distance herself from the illegitimacy.

This is the woman who bragged about using her cleavage to get male colleagues to agree with her? No wonder she never accomplished anything with Lindsey Graham.

If only Lauren Boebert had Sinema’s cleavage she would rule congress.

I agree. Should be a pretty reliable democratic vote but the way the left is attacking her she might get a little bit angry. The left is absolutely beside themselves. Remember the saying remember whose toes you step on. They might be connected to something you going to have to kiss later

So she stands for nothing. Just a squishy independent to fool other squishy and unprincipled independents that don’t have to fortitude to stand for anything true and good. Stick your finger in the air Sinema. Don’t argue or convince others the value of your solutions. Just go along with the crowd as they jump off the bridge.

Sinema is the poster child of the useless idiots. She’s a tool.

Not a ton of difference in the Senate itself if she continues to caucus with Democrats, but it could make ‘24 interesting. Do the AZ Democrats nominate her anyway, or will it be a 3-way race?

Look on the bright side. Their edifice is crumbling. The fact that it hasn’t completely collapsed yet does not mean this is insignificant.

Indeed. It is a crack in the foundation.

Must be pretty bad in the Dem party for Sinema to leave. First Tulsi, now Sinema.

I suspect not only has the party gotten to extreme and full of hate, but in Sinema’s case her electorate clearly isn’t radical Dems so she doesn’t want to associate with radical Dems.

It doesn’t make a lot of sense that she would blast the Dems, quit the party but then continue to caucus with the ‘Rats.

Despite the reports, I’ll wait and see.

Who knows?

Maybe she and Manchin are about to flip the Senate, or at least make things a lot more difficult for Chuckie.

They double-crossed him twice already this year, what makes you think he’ll do anything different or civil for that matter....

Gotta respect this...I may not agree with her often, but she’s showing she has a mind of her own, and it’s rare for a lefty to leave the reservation at this level. Hope were not getting played...

Trump thought long and hard about that exact question. He even launched a brief bid for the Reform Party nomination in the 2000 presidential election.

The opportunity that was squandered will never come again.

This is precisely why Trump decided that the third party option was futile. It would have begun and ended with Donald Trump, and would have been consigned to the trash heap of history 48 hours after he left politics.

Good for her! Hopefully, she’ll side with Republicans, at least part of the time.

In a just world, independents would not be counted on either side, and the balance of power would reflect that.
