Wednesday, on the heels of Georgia Democrat Sen. Raphael Warnock’s victory over Republican nominee Herschel Walker on Tuesday, FNC host Sean Hannity warned of a bleak future for the GOP if it did not address early voting and mail-in ballots.
The Fox News host said Republicans needed to have “a sense of urgency” to improve on those tactics before the election in November 2024.

Agreed. We need to stop complaining and start working harder if we want to win more elections. Simple as that.
Mail-in ballots are not “bogus.” They are the same ballots as presented in a polling place. We need to work harder to harvest them, as hard as the Dems do.
It’s not “virtue signaling” to work for a candidate. It’s practical. Did you work for a candidate in 2022? I did. It takes volunteers—a LOT of them—to GOTV. Regardless of how rigged or not rigged an election is. The Dems are working. MAGA needs to work too and quit complaining that working is “virtue signaling.” Hard work to try to win elections and save our nation for our children IS a virtue!
Exactly! We can also buy our own “Print on Demand” ballot printers and make sure they break down in all the Democrat precincts. We’ll have to remember to set up a “Box #3” to collect all their spoiled ballots, too.
I’m in a blue state, and it’s not “lost.” Life doesn’t stay the same. I helped flip a school board seat from blue to red in the SF Bay Area. And several house seats were flipped from blue to red. You just never know. Things change.
Did you canvass or phone bank for a MAGA/GOP candidate in 2022? If you didn’t volunteer to help, then you are part of the problem.
Good luck.
I'll repeat. Our election system is rigged. One either believes that or not, and for those who do, the GOP is doing absolutely nothing to fix things. Until they do, you can work for a candidate, you can even move in with one, it doesn't much matter.
We can work as hard as the Dems do to win elections. Did you volunteer in 2022? Did you phone bank or canvass neighborhoods? If not, then you are part of the problem.
Voat Harder.
We’ll win next time, just like Arizona.
Sheesh.
Yes, it’s my understanding that blockchain voting on phones would be a good step forward to reduce cheating.
I’m in CA and I agree with you. The GOP needs to stop waiting until Election Day to vote. Too much can go wrong by waiting until a single day and meanwhile those ballots are floating around in that household for weeks and weeks. They need to be turned in and earlier, so volunteers don’t need to waste time and resources chasing them down all the way until Election Day.
Hon, the Dems don’t win elections, they steal them. What part of election fraud do you not understand?
Volunteering works. My MAGA school board candidate had SEVENTY volunteers, and he won in a leftist area (out of just $10K votes up for grabs).
I do understand election fraud. Doesn’t mean the GOP/MAGA should just give up. Makes it easier to justify our own laziness and not volunteering to GOTV.
In the case of Arizona, I get it that you can vote anywhere in your county. I don’t believe that it was a coincidence that the vast majority of the machines that “broke down” were in conservative areas. Easy solution to this, vote in liberal areas. Make the liberals wait in line. Let the liberals wonder why so many conservative votes are appearing in liberal areas.
2 wrongs don’t make a right.
MAIL IN VOTING NEEDS TO BE BANNED
“Like all the cheating that was exposed in 2020?
Like all the cheating in Arizona?
Exposed like Hillary’s emails?
Exposed like Hunter’s laptop?
You’ve inspired me. I’m going to write Kathy Hochul a stern letter demanding accountability and transparency.
Free at last, free at last, all God’s children are free at last!!”
Can’t disagree with you, exposing it appears to relatively easy compared to being able to do anything about it. Especially now when it has become blatant, in your face cheating.
Don’t use bad language in your letter to the NY Governor . . .
Good article. CA tried to go after the CA GOP for putting ballot collection boxes in churches. They got to keep them there as long as the boxes didn't say "official" which most of them didn't anyway
The state GOP's deployment of their own ballot boxes in southern California drew considerable attention earlier this week, with Republicans claiming that they were legal because the state has allowed ballot harvesting since 2018.
Once a voter fills out a ballot, anyone can return it. Most people mail them in prepaid envelopes provided by their county election offices, but others use official ballot drop boxes distributed throughout the county.
Becerra still sent a cease-and-desist letter to Republicans over the boxes as some had been marked "official" -- a mistake GOP general counsel Tom Hiltachk attributed to "perhaps an overzealous volunteer" on Wednesday. Besides that, Hiltachk insisted the boxes were legal.
"The fact that it is a box does not make it illegal," Hiltachk said. "If we have to use a bag, then we'll use a bag."
Still, the GOP and the State came to an agreement. Among the concessions the state GOP made, the party agreed not to declare the boxes "official" and to staff them whenever the public could access them. Also, they promised to return the ballots within a 72-hour period.
See the bold text. Now that's fighting back.
Following a bloodbath for Republicans in the 2018 midterms, then-House speaker Paul Ryan couldn’t believe what he had seen out in California.
“We were only down 26 seats the night of the election and three weeks later, we lost basically every California race,’’ Ryan — a mentor to California Republican and current House GOP head Kevin McCarthy — told the Washington Post in a post-mortem interview. “This election system they have — I can’t begin to understand what ‘ballot harvesting’ is.”
Of the seven seats that Republicans lost two years ago, two in Orange County have flipped back to red — Steel’s wife, Michelle Park Steel, won in California’s 48th, while Kim defeated Cisneros in a second try — and Republicans lead by narrow margins in two more.
So what changed? “I think one of the big areas is ballot harvesting,” California GOP spokesman Hector Barajas told National Review, crediting the pragmatic leadership of state chairwoman Jessica Millan Patterson to emphasize the practice in several key races.
“We were either going to do two different things,” Barajas said of the state party’s shift in attitude. “We were either going to continue to whine, oppose valid harvesting, and lick our wounds after the election, or we were going to figure out the rules, look at the chessboard that was put before us, and figure out how to play the game.”
Now that's what I'm talking about.
Only a gain of 1-2 US house seats but it's something and they hung on to 8 other seats. They don't have many to begin with but what they have, they fight to keep. They flipped 4 CA house seats. Long Island flipped all US house seats red though I don't know what made that happen. Could have just been the voters. Between CA and Long Island, that made the difference and BOTH are blue states.
Go ahead and keep whining like Ryan & McCarthy.
