Hannity: Republicans Need to Improve Upon Playing the ‘Ballot Game’ Before 2024 – ‘It’s Obvious’
Breitbart ^ | 12/08/2022 | Jeff Poor

Posted on 12/08/2022 6:27:41 AM PST by ChicagoConservative27

Wednesday, on the heels of Georgia Democrat Sen. Raphael Warnock’s victory over Republican nominee Herschel Walker on Tuesday, FNC host Sean Hannity warned of a bleak future for the GOP if it did not address early voting and mail-in ballots.

The Fox News host said Republicans needed to have “a sense of urgency” to improve on those tactics before the election in November 2024.

GOTV has always been a numbers game. The party that gets more of its registered voters out to vote (or, these days, to turn in their completed ballots) wins, particularly if they can get some independents as well. It’s about canvassing and phone banking. That may or may not be considered “the will of the people”— the will of the people is generally to be lazy and not vote, and it takes nudging by volunteers who care more to get them to vote.

You cannot out vote fraud. You have to eliminate the fraud.

He’s the kind of “conservative” that couldn’t even conserve girl and boy bathrooms.

Well put.

The conservative movement ran out of gas after Reagan. Today we have Traditional conservatives, Neoconservatives, Severe conservative (Romney), Compassionate conservatives (Bush #43), Principled conservative (Cheney), Moderate conservative (RINOs), Fiscal conservatives, Log Cabin conservatives, Reagan conservatives, Goldwater conservatives, Tea Party conservatives, Black conservatives (Project 21), Paleoconservatives, and so on. It's become a defused mess, unable to capitalize on the last election cycle when, arguably, the Ds were openly socialists. It's time to move on from this political husk. Do something new and bold. Something American.

Forget EVM.
Forget Mail-in Voting.

Democracy needs Digital revolution to meet the challenges to integrity of election.

A digital App that is hack-proof and has robust bio-matric backed registration,, security and authentication.

A digital app that prevent vote-harvesting, proxy-voting that can conduct time-bound voting.

A digital App that allows people to register and vote online from comfort of their home on a day of election.

A digital app that can be downloaded on phone or computer.

Those who do not have digital resources or knowhow can vote in person at polling stations as they do now.

This will increase voter participation in democracy.

This will prevent vote harvesting and bogus voting and voter-apathy.

We already have the technology, resources and need.

What is needed is political will

IIt cannot be done.

You have listed a bunch of advantages the left has. We have one advantage. They want to get away with cheating and we want the cheating to be so visible it has to be addressed.

So stuff every drop box with 3 times the amount of ballots that the precinct has. Make it obvious the system is broken.

The “Ballot Game” should be finding a way to expose and prevent cheating, not trying to be better at it . . .

This is the answer, and early in this thread.

Expending effort trying to outcheat an opponent who is practiced at cheating is the wrong way to make an effort as it addresses the wrong target.

Yes, MAGA voters are more spread out but all that means is that volunteers need to walk more to canvass. I live in a very low density area (every parcel is a half acre or more!) and yet walked my dog slowly up and down every street, knocking on doors. Our school board candidate had 70 volunteers to cover 10K voters (not households) and we focused on the GOP households and we managed to cover all our territory.

Just because we have it harder than the Dems to ballot harvest (they get apartments while we get rural or semi-rural homes) doesn’t mean we should give up or not try.

When mail in balloting first got approved in AZ it was considered a big advantage for the GOP who was much better at getting people to vote that way than the dems. Somewhere along the lines they ceded the ground.

I’m in a reasonably red area, about an hour from Atlanta... more or less based on your suggestion(s)! Life is much better away from the nonsense and crap.

I don’t think ballot harvesting makes the vote meaningless. Mail in ballots and drop boxes are simply easier for the voter. In the past the GOP could count on lower turnout from the Dems as they are lazy. Well, times have changed and we need to adapt (in those states that offer 100% mail in voting). It can be done—it’s just less work on the part of the voters and more work on the part of the GOTV volunteers. We need to adapt, and work harder as the voters work less.

expose and prevent cheating, not trying to be better at it . . .****************************************************
Like all the cheating that was exposed in 2020?
Like all the cheating in Arizona?
Exposed like Hillary’s emails?
Exposed like Hunter’s laptop?
You’ve inspired me. I’m going to write Kathy Hochul a stern letter demanding accountability and transparency.

Dems would probably still have the house if CA GOP didn’t learn the game. They harvested ballots and put ballot collection boxes in churches. It was enough to hang onto or take over a handful of seats. Many 52/48 results could be flipped to 48/52 if repubs got off their asses and became election activists, even while staying withing the boundaries of the law.

Think about that. CA is one of 7 states that mass mails out ballots to everyone on the voter roles yet CA GOP got the house to be R. As of 2024, it will be 8 states that mass mail ballots with VT joining the list. CA, CO, HI, NV, OR, WA, UT and now VT. Hardly a list of swing states.

I think the safest way is to drop off a mail-in ballot in person or vote early within 2-3 days of election day in both cases. Don’t let them sit on the ballot for weeks because who knows what might happen to it. 2018 was a lesson for CA GOP and Maricopa 2022 should be a lesson for all. If we insist on voting on election day, they’ll screw up election day.

YMMV because where I live in rural bible belt flyover country, voting on election day is safe and absentee ballots aren’t super easy to get.

Of course there are other issues like crooked people running the election as in Maricopa and those 2020 swing states. There’s some machine/computer cheating and one side knows tech a lot better then the other which makes it easy for them. The rules have changed and elections are high tech now. Tech up or get left behind.

Conservatives can get ahead of the game by putting up drop boxes in front of churches, for starters. They can also get ahead of the game by enlisting more volunteers to start canvassing and phone banking earlier, as soon as the ballots are mailed out.

Everyone here on this thread complaining should choose a candidate to work for in 2024, and work. I chose a school board candidate this past election—I didn’t even have a GOP or MAGA Congressional candidate to work for—I’m in a leftist district that had no GOP opposition! So I worked for a MAGA school board candidate instead, and he won (barely).

I agree that one huge priority is to get the Soros Secretaries of State out of office. It can be done. Even San Francisco managed to recall their corrupt Soros DA.

We can “beat them at their game” with mail-in voting. Yes, it’s harder now. But several seats were flipped to the GOP (or held) in CA, with lots of Dem cheating and harvesting. The GOP did harvesting too—and needs to do more of it, and start canvassing and phone banking earlier in the election cycle, and getting those GOP votes banked sooner (less calling and knocking needed later if the votes are in sooner).

The GOP also needs more $$. In many races such as the Senator race in AZ we were outspent like 10 to 1.

Hannity is a moron. Its the cheating Sean.

More proof FAUX News covers up the massive cheating by blaming the victims: It's your fault for not cheating like they do. If MAGA tries to cheat, it will become a public example that the government does prosecute election fraud, but only it its for the wrong candidates.
