The vehicles towed from the Moscow crime scene where four University of Idaho students were killed last month have not been moved from the outdoor parking lot where they have been exposed to the elements for nearly one week, images show.
Five vehicles moved from 1122 King Road – the Moscow, Idaho, scene of the Nov. 13 quadruple homicides – on Tuesday have since remained in the outdoor, city-owned car lot. Parked outside, the vehicles have been exposed to sub-freezing temperatures, snow and potential trespassers.
Photos from the storage facility, which were taken on Saturday, show each of the five vehicles covered in snow in an outside lot. Temperatures have dipped into the teens as the small city has seen several days of sporadic snow. The vehicles remained in the same spot as of Monday morning.

In before the FReepers say, “I bet that drains the EV batteries!” LOL
Not a lot of confidence in this group. Local yokels thinking they could “handle it.” The Jon Benet Ramsey case all over again.
The MURDERER DOESN’T FIT THE MEDIA NARRATIVE so investigators are doing everything they can NOT TO SOLVE IT.
This is setting up to be a cold ( no pun intended) case that will remain unsolved for many years, due to the incompetence of the local cops. I’m sorry, but that’s what it appears like to me.
The murders happened nearly 4 weeks ago
Usually for such grisly murders, there is a ton of evidence left by the perps, as well as background and circumstantial evidence leading up to the crime
It seems either the murderer(s) were real professionals, or the local cops are quite incompetent.
What, they couldn’t at least rent a few storage units? There is an airport nearby - get some hangar space.
If they’ve already been forensically processed, then outside storage doesn’t matter and the vehicles aren’t the crime scene, anyway.
Looks like the city cops are failing.
Where are the state police and who is in charge of the state police?
The murderer seemingly knew how to handle a long knife and was comfortable using it.
Well, they have 40 plus FBI agents on this case- maybe that’s the problem?
I don’t know, just being snarky, but it’s really an odd case. I’ve followed it pretty closely and just read that LE is giving an update later today.
Folks, there is a lot of overreacting on this thread. There are at least 20 FBI agents assigned to this case as well as Idaho State Police and local detectives. I have been following this case because it is so brazen and amateurish. If it was someone close to the victims, they most likely would have been caught by now. If it was someone with no connection to the victims, good luck ever finding them.
They have some ideas, I’ll bet.
The local cops were out of their league from day one. In many states a state law agency with forensic expertise steps in for cases like this. Does Idaho not have such an agency? I’m afraid the crime scene investigation was botched and there may never be any justice for these murdered young people.
At this point, they are probably waiting on DNA processing for hundreds of samples as well as the exclusion samples from all the people who were on scene at the time.
If they do find DNA that doesn’t match any of the exclusionary samples, they still have to identify it, probably by familial matching unless it’s from somebody that’s all ready in the database.
This is not going to be a quick process, the extra care required for potential trial evidence makes it take even longer.
Yes we know these things take time. I hope no one is thinking about TV crime shows where evidence goes to a lab and they get results very quickly.
Then again in TV crime shows the case is all wrapped up within the hour. Real life timelines just don’t fit into such short time spans.
Ever seen The First 48?
Do you think it could be one of the victims murder—suicide?
Don’t knock the FBI! After 2 years and 25 permanent agents a local Barney Fyfe found Eric Rudolph living out of a dumpster in Murphy NC!
The vehicles have not been out of police custody. Not abnormal.
