Former Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Michael Chertoff on Sunday called potential Republican efforts to impeach the agency’s current leader, Alejandro Mayorkas, a “political stunt.”
In an interview with CBS’s “Face the Nation” moderator Margaret Brennan, Chertoff, who served under former President George W. Bush, said House Republicans threatening to impeach Mayorkas would be engaging in performative politics, calling any effort to do so a “very sad day.”

Searching for Chertoff’s condemnation of Dem’s two sad, performative impeachments of Trump...haven’t found it yet.
But you've got 'im.
Guys like Chertoff are why the term “Uniparty” exists. Mayorkas has failed in the only job he has. Worse, he is actively working against the purpose of the only job he has. And Bush’s lackey defends him. Disgusting.
That just shows why Trump was needed to run in 2016, and how much the GOP supports open borders.

Typical. Do they ever allow Republicans on their network to compliment and defend other republicans?
H was in charge of the Katrina recovery. I also believe dementia joe was going to make him the regimes disinformation czar.
That’s all you need to know.
No- he was in charge of the Katrina recovery:
Funny, so do I.
They once had many people fooled. I was reading FR at the time, and I remember threads titled “A Day in the Life of George W. Bush” or similar. Everyone fell for it. He claimed he was a born-again Christian and had conservative values. For a few months everything went well. Ashcroft, another Christian pick, was popular here and in other conservative circles. Unfortunately, he also picked Cheney and Rumsfeld. I don’t know if they seized control of his administration or if he was a willing partner all along. I think the latter.
Then came Sept. 11. Then we were told that we suddenly had to fight for eternity to “keep the terrorists over there” and that it might never be over. We were told we had to have the Patriot Act. We were told God told him to invade Iraq. Then we got Abu Ghraib and deceit. Then we got still more deceit about spying, intelligence, Islam, etc. Then, to top it off, we were told we had to be “compassionate” and legalize all the invaders.
That was the nail in the coffin for me with Bush. And I haven’t totally trusted GOP, Inc. since.
Chertoff = Foggy Bottom aka Deep State
You need 67 votes to remove him from office.
Those votes would not have been there if all the midterm GOP candidates had won.
The UNI=PARTY pays well.

If people don’t know by now they don’t want to know
No ads will change that
Don’t fund DHS.
Permanent Swamp - bump for later....
It was discovered Bush’s Homeland Security boss Chertoff had people working inside his private residence, who’d entered the country illegally.
Feel safe everyone?
Operative phrase “Bush-era DHS secretary,” any questions?
