In this post-election haze, many conservatives are understandably confused. If the economy was such a high-priority issue, and the Democrats were mostly responsible for the runaway inflation -- why didn’t the Republican’s win more seats? Efforts to lay the blame at the doorstop of Donald Trump is pointless and a wasted exercise. Pointing to abortion as a key issue deflects from the real issue at hand.
The cause of the election loss is relatively simple -- Americans have not suffered enough pain with this economy -- yet.
Inflation hits everyone -- it is an indiscriminate irritant that impacts people regardless of class, race, or any other social divider. It is bad, everyone knows the actual rate of inflation is higher than what the government has reported. Inflation is experienced every day, on every shopping trip. Over a third of the country saw their retirement funds take hits that will require years to recover from as the stock market attempted to react to the inflationary spending out of Washington, D.C.
The problem is, that while inflation is frustrating, Americans haven’t felt the real pains of a down economy. Inflation is something that people manage. They purchase less, or change what they spend money on. Instead of purchasing an expensive six-pack of craft beer, people will buy a less expensive beer. Rather than buy steak, they will purchase alternatives to ease the pain. The number of nights eating out is reduced or the restaurants that are chosen are less expensive. The bottom line is that no one is starving as a result of the current inflation. Inflation is a force that can be mitigated -- it can be coped with.

I’m going with Choice 2.
Why do so many ostensibly conservative journalists overthink this?
combination i think
They will never get the message. To get the message, they have to be able to connect the dots. This , because they lack the intelligence to be able to, will never happen.
This was Dan Bongino's exact comments in his podcast Saturday, November 12.

Oh, yes...it is patriotic to be poor, cold, and hungry.
So, by the logic of this article, only the people of Florida have suffered enough, hence the Red Wave in the Florida elections.
This is gaslighting, pure and simple. Don’t fall for this BS.
There was no Red Wave because there was rampant election fraud.
Americans by & large are a passive and disinterested lot
50 years of massive, never-ending third-world immigration has also watered down conservative victories.
People don’t want abortion because THEY might need an abortion.
They want abortion because they feel that abortion kills off people that are/will be a problem for them or their offspring.
Have you all noticed that the fact the one place where the red wave occurred was the one place that locked down the voting has disappeared? The voter fraud story has been killed by everyone now. The girls on FNC were saying it was Ron’s wonderful positive message that made the difference and not one word about securing the voting process. We are so F’d.

Zeldin did help Republicans flip four House of Representatives seats in New York state outside of the city by leading the ticket.
But of course—at the end of the day the NYC lefties did what they do...
FNC is not your friend.
Once upon a time they were—but those days are long gone.
The levels of vote fraud are so extensive, I don’t understand what you mean. Were there no ballot harvesting, considering only ballot harvesting only in the swing states, this election would have been the biggest red wave in history. I do understand that Trump won in 2016 because the level of support for him far outpaced the normal fraud machinery. That was fixed by the 2018 mid-terms and ever since. Their system cannot be overwhelmed like that again can it?
Please tell me why I am wrong.
“why didn’t the Republican’s win more seats?”
A combination of Democrat election fraud and a feckless GOP leadership.
Yep- they voted for the worst of the worst in the end- Hochul- They evidently love having a tyrant rule over them- If any time in history was a time to get rid of the old Red Army Guard, it was this election in NY- but the socialists just couldn’t help themselves and voted the commie back in
Glad other races were won by republicans though- hope they can do some good-
It is blatantly obvious with the examples of Biden and Fetterman that people don’t vote for Democrat candidates.
People vote for/support the Democrat party.
Joe Biden isn’t providing welfare, the Democrat party is.
People feel that the Democrat party puts money in their pockets.
They don’t care where that money comes from as long as it keeps coming.

I believe this is one of the things President Trump has understood. Two years from now things will be much worse, if we’re all still alive.
The next pundit who predicts a red wave gets it in the neck.
Tucker is it. He has editorial control written into his contract. The morning girls were usually pretty good but the obvious script they were reading from today was it for me. F FNC.
