Raskin: Running for Office Will Not Immunize Trump Against Prosecution
Breitbart ^ | 11/15/2022 | Pam Key

Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) said Tuesday on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” that running for president would not “immunize” former President Donald Trump from being prosecuted.

Cooper asked, “You’ve been uniquely positioned over the past several years as someone who understands the legal and constitutional issues swirling around the former president. If he is making this announcement in part believing that this will somehow protect him from investigations or indictments, is that accurate, do you think?”

Raskin is a seriously mentally compromised man.

And I'm serious.

His son commit suicide in December 2020. He issued press releases. It was tragic.

Then, just days after burying his son, Pelosi makes him the House Manager for Impeachment II.

In the private sector, we are told to grieve and take Bereavement leave.

In Democrat circles, you pick the most emotionally compromised rep, and give them a massive job.

This guy has been off since his son died. Anything he says should be viewed with an appropriate level of caution and suspicion.

The economic SHTF by 2024. He will be the only one in the race that can and will fix it. Cheating then could threaten societal meltdown. That’s why they are concerned

If the R’s want to investigate anything (even a FAMILY member) of a D running for office, it’s called election interference, and an attack on a political opponent.

Make them live up to their words.

They don’t have any crimes, Raskin is “bucking up” the progressive troops and trying to keep the kooks & crazies in line.

Raskin knows nothing is going to happen to Trump, but he can’t tell the loons that because it would destroy him politically.

Here is a list if Presidents that were never prosecuted or won’t be prosecuted:

Washington
Adams
Jefferson
Madison
Monroe
Adams
Jackson
Van Buren
Harrison
Tyler
Polk
Taylor
Fillmore
Pierce
Buchanan
Lincoln
Johnson
Grant*
Hayes
Garfield
Arthur
Cleveland
Harrison
McKinley
Roosevelt
Taft
Wilson
Harding
Coolidge
Hoover
Roosevelt
Truman
Eisenhower
Kennedy
Johnson
Nixon
Ford
Carter
Reagan
Bush
Clinton
Bush
Obama
Trump
Biden

Until something changes I’m sticking with historical precedent.

* Grant was arrested for speeding his carriage around DC.

It seems that Raskin is trying to ignite a civil war but it won’t work.

Someone should point out to this numbskull that Impeachment 1.0 was specifically because Trump allegedly asked someone to investigate Biden who was a potential political opponent (Ukraine Prosecutor, anyone?).

I can understand Trump’s decision to announce. Because of that precedent, he does, in fact, become immune to prosecution.

He’s been off far longer than 2020.

He denied the results of the 2016 election and protested Trump’s assumption of the Presidency. I think he boycotted the inaugural IIRC.
