FNC’s Hume: Trump Losing His Grip on the Republican Party — ‘His Star Has Faded’
Breitbart ^ | 11/14/2022 | Pam Key

Posted on 11/14/2022 6:40:37 PM PST by ChicagoConservative27

Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume said Monday on FNC’s “Special Report” that former President Donald Trump was losing his influence on the Republican Party.

When asked about Trump losing his grip on the GOP, Hume said, “Well, I have thought for some time – and there’s polling on this that reflects this – that while he maintains real influence within the Republican Party, no two ways about that, but it has begun to fade. It started fading, really, I think, after his antics post-election in 2020, that a great many people with him perhaps up until then began to move away from him.”

Better check DeSantis’s megadonor rates and what they expect in return before yammering any more about that

Trump is a lock to get the nomination.
He’s the “presumptive R nominee” the day he announces.
There are already Trump 24 signs up here in Indiana.

I’ll vote for Trump in Nov 24 but I don’t expect him to win. This year’s election tells me that abortion overrides the economy among enough people to give Dems the advantage. Only God can sort this problem out.

Honestly, if we lose in 2024 let it be Pussy Pence to take the fall with Nimrata (Nikki) Haley.

Well, he's certainly lost some of his hold given that nobody even thought about challenging him in 2024, and he's definitely going to have some in 2024. The question is how much.

ABC is now airing a special on Jan. 6 which the center piece is a set down interview with Pence along with video of Pelosi and Schummer scared during the protest talking on phone about family safety. Puke

Those two belong in the debates for the primaries.

So many excellent questions, beginning with ..."what did you mean when you said...?

I don't think Trump's ‘star’ has faded. Those who may be inclined to go forward without Trump will do so because they are concerned about his ability to win, after all the attacks he's had to fend off.

It's become even more apparent to me, based on recent conversations, that the electorate is full of those who have believe the propaganda pushed by the left, by the media (same thing), by ‘academic’ talking heads and writers, by the entertainment industry, by the race baiters, by leftist agenda-driven social media, etc.

I've heard the same false and tired old lines about how ‘the Democrats are for the little guy’, ‘socialized medicine and the NHS are much better than the American system’, ‘the economy is bad because of “the war”’, ‘it's just as bad everywhere else’, ‘the Republicans want to end social security’, etc.

A fair number of people still believe these lies.

Hume is 79, the same age as Biden. If you listen to him he really sounds feeble.

Trump, on the other hand, at ag 76 seems able to fart nails.

If Jesus were running with an (R) next to his name the Dems would still try to steal the election.

Fox News has been dead to me since 2020.

I've been watching Newsmax. It is not perfect, but it is far better than Fox News. Sometimes I'll watch OANN but that network is threadbare and dull. OANN production values are nonexistent.

Time for Hume to retire.

Trump is the only one that can be counted on to stand up to rampant corruption in our political system.

It's time the massive number of MAGA supporters walked away from the Republican party.

Every race stolen is blamed on Trump by the MSM. Bots are all over the board if you say otherwise. You can’t question the election or you get 10 people telling how wrong you are and blaming Trump. We are in a world of feces.

Brit Hume, FOX's Senior Political Analyst Propagandist

The Propaganda Media continues working lockstep with the Globalist Uniparty to attack We The People.

If Brit Hume attacks Trump, you know Trump is good.

The Republicrats have opposed President Trump since he announced he was running for 2016. Romney, McConnell, Cheney, Christie, Cotton - they all need to go. They're nothing but treasonous enemies of the United States.

You mean Sarah Palin who lost, and Lauren Boebert who will happily get in line and vote for Kevin McCarthy?

Until Turmp can show that he has better control of his impulse to attack and destroy any possible challenger in either party, until he can display greater professional respect for other party members, I cannot support him as I did until shortly after the midterms.

The namecalling is not playing as well with the general public as it seemed to in 2016. After dealing with Joe Biden for two years, most people want a return to some manner of stability and logical order. Trump is not demonstrating stability or implying a logical order when he demands fealty from any republicans he has helped. Fealty being a Vassal’s sworn loyalty to a Lord.

If he can calm himself down for a few months, that would be a begining. Let us see the contrast between a Mister Dithers President Joe Biden and
Mr. MAGA, Donald Trump. What can you do, Mr. Trump, to help bring order to this present chaos we live in? The Border? The Schools? Oil Independance. Talk about these things, Sir. Things effecting all of us.

Almost nobody cares if you feel personally insulted because another republican legally decides to throw their hat into the ring. I certainly don’t care. They owe you nothing. Stop acting as though the people you helped get elected are now your personal automaton robots. Your well dressed slaves. It makes no sense. and it throws us off message.
