Once again Godless, worthless McConnell led RINOs join democrats to make a mockery of conservatism and common sense. Every one of the worthless POS should be voted out if office. How low can the Republican Party go. I am done with these traders.

What defines “proper respect”? And will we face jail time for not showing said “proper respect”?

Marriage has never been a federal issue.
It is up to the states.
Congress needs to stay in its lane.

No - they’re not.
These same rinos would go on to add language that people with diverse beliefs about child marriages deserve due respect too.
Doesn’t make it right or even rational.

Well, gay marriage is legal in all 50 states. If the bill becomes law next week, not gonna change that. Seems like a feel good measure for Libs.
I do like the fact that Federal law now specifically says that diverse views on gay marriage are due respect. At least conservatives can say Federal Law requires respect for traditional views of marriage. Dems and most of the media won’t care, but there it is, right in the law.

a bill that codifies same-sex and interracial marriage into federal law Only Democrats keep lumping those two things together.

First of all, there is no serious movement (at this point) to overturn same-sex marriage. There certainly is no movement to overturn interracial marriage. And conflating sexuality with race (a standard liberal tactic) is wrong since race is coded in a person’s DNA and sexuality is not.

It would be nice to say something like “any Republican who votes for this should be primaried”
But by that point, who cares? The law is signed and the damage done.
Why has the movement to protect the traditional definition of marriage been so ineffective while the pro-life movement can celebrate thousands of little victories?
