Pennsylvania state Sen. Doug Mastriano (R) conceded to Gov.-elect Josh Shapiro (D) on Sunday in the state’s gubernatorial race, five days after news outlets called the race against him.
“Difficult to accept as the results are, there is no right course but to concede, which I do, and I look to the challenges ahead. Josh Shapiro will be our next Governor, and I ask everyone to give him the opportunity to lead and pray that he leads well,” Mastriano said in a statement.

“Doug was a bad candidate”
He was an excellent candidate, but we have a system that means only bad candidates can ever be elected.
I didn’t think so, but he’s looking that way now by not fighting the fraud.

I warned people on FR that Mastriano wasn’t putting in the work and wasn’t spending his money wisely, but his paid shills on here lied and pretended otherwise.
The truth is that Mastriano is a lazy freak who was bought and paid for by the Democrats. Shapiro knew Mastriano would implode. He spent millions on ads touting Shapiro for this reason.
Democrats got what they paid for. It’s that simple. Anytime Democrats run ads for a Republican candidate, that should tell you everything you need to know about the candidate.
All the reform in the world wouldn’t have given Mastriano the win .
People need to run on that issue, not suggest it as a swell issue after they lose.
bs. he was a great candidate. just no election machinery left for a statewide republican candidate in mail-in PA. everyone of them lost due to mail-in.

What the hell do you think Fetterman and Shapiro are. They both are full blown communist but no one talks about how bad they are for Pennsylvania and the country. Why are the only bad candidates always Republicans?

The RINO majority legislature, unconstitutionally, passed Act 77, in 2019, before the kung flu.

An open invitation to wholesale Demonrat vote fraud.
There will never be an honest election, in PA, again.

The combo of being outspent 10/20x (thanks GOPe) and the mail-ins made it an inevitable rout for the whole conservative PA ticket (not including oz of course).

yup. that Act 77 was a death knell for PA. And ironically Doug didn’t even try to stop it, until it was way too late. they now go the way of CA.
His and the rest of the PA GOP legislature’s failure to realize the disaster that was Act 77 cost him his own governorship.

He was good, but Democrats cheated. And Shapiro won’t change anything.
Yes, he has to take his share of credit for that disaster.
