While the national average price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline we put in our cars has dropped about 24% from their record high in June, the price of diesel has only slipped 8%.
Diesel prices used to be lower than gasoline, but that relationship has flipped over the years, and the spread between the two has widened and is likely to balloon this winter with diesel prices expected to surge, analysts said.

Democrats have stood in the way of building new refineries since the 1990’s. Always the excuse has been it takes years to bring a new refinery online, well we could have had several built by now.
Instead...we sow the wind and sun. SMH

I’ve driven diesels for 13 years. Just the other day I drove my diesel sedan to New Jersey and back...via Interstates of course. I got 46mpg and there was quite a bit of stop and go on I-95,the Merritt Parkway *and* I-84.

We filled all our diesel and gasoline storage at our ranch last week. $3.02 unleaded and $4.77 diesel. Did not like the diesel price… but…. Probably would prefer I bought it wrong, for the good of the country.
