Republican Gen. Don Bolduc remained in the lead over Democrat Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-NH) in the final poll for New Hampshire’s Senate seat, a Wick Insights poll found Sunday.

The poll asked respondents, “If the November 2022 election for US Senate were held today, for whom would you most likely cast your vote — Republican Don Bolduc or Democrat Maggie Hassan? If you are still undecided on who to vote for, please select undecided.”

I really don’t understand why this race was ever considered safe for the D…

This should have always been on the short list of opportunities for GOP pickup.

Mitch CuckConnell initially withheld funds for Bolduc’s campaign.

Not if you watched Fox News today. All races are tightening. Except the candidates they interview that say the polls they site are not the accurate ones.

I don’t know much about Bolduc, but somewhere it was suggested he was not as good for the general as his competitor.

It used to be said that if a Senate incumbent wasn’t at 50%, they were going to lose, but I haven’t heard that in about 15 years. Is tat still the case?

NH is a state that should always be considered in play IMHO, always.

This should have always been on the short list of opportunities for GOP pickup.

That’s due to GOPe elitist thinking. The don’t want the votes from working people. It’s country club members only. The GOPe is afraid to go where to voters are. Just imagine if they started going into inner cities and make an argument beyond platitudes run in campaign commercials. While that doesn’t apply to NH, the same hesitation exists in all the small towns and villages where factories once prospered.

that’s always the case with any incumbent, but you are right that for some reason you don’t hear it much more.

“...he was not as good for the general as his competitor.”

Because Ditch is reluctant to fund Senators who are independent of Ditch.

Ditch is more than happy to be Minority Leader.

I received a text today from the Marist organization with a link to their website. I took a chance I know, but I answered all their questions:

I’m a democrat. I voted for Biden, I support Hobbs (lukewarm) and Kelly, (strongly) inflation is the most important issue for me.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who has done this.

As Claire McKaskill said today: I won when the polls said I would lose. I lost when the polls said I would win.

Polling is inexact. It has a lot larger margin of error than some would like to admit.
