Tesla CEO Elon Musk is now in charge of Twitter, CNBC has learned.
Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal and finance chief Ned Segal have left the company’s San Francisco headquarters and will not be returning, sources said. Vijaya Gadde, the head of legal policy, trust, and safety was also fired, the Washington Post reported.
Musk had until Friday to complete his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter or face a court battle with the company.

This is encouraging.
Warm (fuzzy) and “welcoming” to All (America’s Leftists & Losers)....
She's the one who went on Joe Rogan with Dorsey. Glad she's gone.
Timing is everything. Meta (aka Facebook) is tanking hard due to the I’ll-advised Metaverse project.
Musk has an opportunity here…. Good luck to him.
I really hope he immediately reinstates every single person who makes all of the liberals heads go all thermonuclear explodey. Maybe drag it out to one per day to make it hurt for longer
They’re leaving a couple of steps ahead of the fraud charges. Expect Musk’s Twitter to start releasing the *real* numbers under their tenure and then the avalanche of civil and criminal fraud suits will begin. It’s just like when newspapers were caught lying to advertisers about their real circulation numbers to get higher prices for advertising.
Very interesting speech from Musk, he’s saying all the right things
It’s a she. A total c’nut
Right before the mid-terms...
Musk needs to reinstate Trump, Bablyon Bee and other very visible accounts immediately.. will send a good sign, he is serious about making it a freer speech platform.
“eccentric genius”?
Umm, our definitions of that phrase clearly differ.
Musk HIRES genius, that does not make him one.
Many of his past statements support my rating of his intelligence.
I have never had nor desired a Twit account, never will.
If they let TRUMP back in and all the conservatives and fire all the snowflakes, I’ll make up a new account as I exited a couple of years ago.
It’s good - like here - to track links and share comedy. The Donald has most all of it already.
This is wonderfully delicious. I’m waiting with baited breath for the announcement that 75% of Twitter employees have been severed from the company...muhahahahaha!
And, the return of one @RealDonaldTrump !!!!
Does his green card require him to be actively employed?
Totally agree. Guess it is time to get anudda Twitter account. Lost my last account after suspension.

can’t find the BBC World Service radio piece I heard yesterday, saying Trump will probably be back and Musk will allegedly bring back “free speech” (BBC put it in quotation marks) which means disinformation will be back as well.
27 Oct: BBC: Elon Musk claims he’s buying Twitter to ‘help humanity’
“Entering Twitter HQ - let that sink in!” Mr Musk wrote.
In business parlance, “kitchen sinking” means taking radical action at a company, though it is not clear if this was Mr Musk’s message - he also updated his Twitter bio to read “chief twit”...
Reports he would dramatically reduce headcount have not gone down well with staff.
Talk of allowing Donald Trump and other banned accounts back onto the platform has also frustrated many employees...

When you put it in the context of everything else he’s involved in, I think I believe him.
btw whenever Trump being banned from Twitter is mentioned on BBC, they never express shock that such a thing could happen. their silence is their approval.
