Ron DeSantis: Judea and Samaria isn’t occupied territory

‘We won’t let the Jewish community be some pinata for people to attack,’ says Florida governor at synagogue visit.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis emphasized his pro-Israel bona fides at a campaign stop in a synagogue north of Miami Sunday night, ahead of the November 8th gubernatorial election. Speaking at a Forward Action Fund event at a synagogue in Bal Harbour, DeSantis drew cheers from the audience as he referenced his policies against the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement, and rejected claims that Judea and Samaria is “occupied territory.”

“One of the things I said we would do, is that I would ensure that… the State of Florida would be the most pro-Israel state in the United States,” DeSantis said. “We have delivered on it.” “Before I even took office, we had this issue of Airbnb going to discriminate against Israel and Jews living in Judea and Samaria. So I announced… ‘This will not stand, and we will take action very quickly.’”

I thought Trump signed away Judia and Samaria as part of the agreement with Jared?

Unfortunately it is occupied...by descendants of Arab Muslim invaders.

Egypt is the real occupied territory. 1600 years ago, Arab Muslims conquered Egypt and imposed their Muslim religion and rule. It still continues.

I thought there was a whole part of the Abraham Accord which gave all of Jerusalem to Israel and gave up almost all of Judea and Samaria in exchange for other parts of the West Bank. Basically all that Netanyahu was asking for?

News to me.

I hope not. My family has a vineyard there. I’ll FaceTime the Mrs and see if she’s wearing a hijab.

<>“The State Department would always say, ‘You can’t go to Judea and Samaria,’ because they say that it is ‘occupied territory.’ I know the history, it is disputed territory. They are among the most historic Jewish lands, and yes, there was a partition agreement on the table in 1948, but the Arabs rejected that agreement and decided to go to war.”<>

Exactly. Muzzies lost all claim when they lost those territories in war(s) they started. ‘Eff the palis.

It was the Trump peace plan that Jared announced a couple of years ago. Among other things it gave a big chunk of the West Bank to Israel and gave other parts of Israel to the Palestinians

News to me and I’m Israeli.

There are areas A, B, and C in the so called West Bank.

C is just Israel, but Israelis (both Jewish and Arab Israelis) live and travel there along with Arabs who reject Israel but live in A or B.

Areas in A that the Palestinian authority runs everything except external security. And B where the Palestinians run civil stuff like municipal services, but Israel runs police and security forces.

None of which are particularly contiguous. Lots of little dots.

There hasn’t been land-for-peace nonsense since Bush II forced it on us. I am deeply familiar with that failure being a native of Gush Katif (my home being given away and then burned).

Gog MGog

The Mem as a pretext means 'from' as this says, Gog from Gog,
or GeOrGe from GeOrGe. In plain sight.
