Petro accuses US of ruining «all the economies of the world».

The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, has accused the United States of ruining "all the economies of the world" while making decisions aimed at protecting itself in the face of an economic crisis that is already "unquestionable".

In this sense, he has criticized that, with its latest decisions, such as the increase in interest rates, the world economy has suffered, especially that of Latin American countries, for which he has urged the creation of a block of countries in the region to face the recession.

"The Russians, the Ukrainians, the Europeans in the first place, have unleashed a war in their own continent: a war for gas, for energy", he explained, adding that "Latin America is being plundered", as reported by Blu Radio.

On the other hand, Petro has also charged against Washington in the migratory field, affirming that "they have put machine guns", "jails" and "walls" so that migrants do not enter through their border. "(So) they are treated and mistreated when they arrive there, if they arrive alive," he said.

Thus, he has stressed that "more prosperity must be achieved" in Latin American nations. "How many Colombians have already died in that exodus, that country that does not want them", he pointed out, adding that the United States "should understand" that in order to stop the migratory crisis it does not have to destroy Latin American economies, but help them, as reported by RCN Radio.

Oh look, there it is! I said this was coming just a few days ago.

The financial war expands and the United States will get those 'just deserts.'

Didn't think I would see this kind of talk so soon, but the fuse is lit. Just wait until the NATO countries start turning their freezing back on us too.

I’m not sure which actions by Biden Petro thinks are being done to protect the US economy. Biden is destroying the US economy, taking down much of the rest of the world with it.

The left wants the Great Reset to the New World Order where there will be no private sector middle class, just a tiny elite and the rest serfs who “ will own nothing but will be happy.”

Mr Petro
You argue like a child but, yeah.

The United States should be building the countries south of the border in much the way we created modern day Chiner.

But, you jerk offs would have to get control of your countries, be willing and capable I the idea of opportunities and creating environments to flourish.

No reason why China has more legal immigrants the U.S. than you, as a percentage of population.

Then again, you would have stop cozying up to a people (Chiner) who will eventually subjugate your people.

Get on board the Freedom Train and let the Abuela’s spoil their grandchildren in Columbia.

That a pittance compared to what Biden has given Ukraine...

Imagine if we had invested like that in South America

Quite honestly, the US has partly contributed to ruining the economies of the world. Our fiscal policy has been horrendous for decades. But, it’s not like we force other countries to do the same. Europe is much worst in a number of ways. And China isn’t all that great either. The world would be a much better place if every country was great again. (Well, for some for, the first time). I think that would create some competition.

Obviously, the part about the US using machine guns to keep out invaders is wrong. (Is that really what he meant?!)

However, the part about the US wrecking the rest of the Western economies has some merit. The Fed has only one tool and that’s the interest rate. Not even all interest rates, just one. Like the hammer that sees the whole world as nails, they are using their one tool.

The rest of the world is at zero or negative rates. A negative rate is where your company gives the bank, say $10,000 and at the end of the period the bank gives you back, say, $9,500. The explanation for why has to do with the coercive power of governments. Here’s a question. If you had money to spare, would you leave it overseas or bring it to the US bond market where you can get paid interest on it? So, by raising rates the US has sucked all the spare money out of their allies’ banks. This means there is no money in their economies and the engines driving them have run out of air and fuel. I’m surprised we haven’t heard more from the Europeans.

Now, you might think this is good. It’s a long story, but this has tanked our stock market and is causing a whole set of other problems. If the government wanted to do something effective it would approve the Candian pipeline, increase oil leases and get rid of a host of policies and regulations. But for a Democrat to do that would further harm their standing with their liberal leftie tree huggers and climate theologists. We have exactly the wrong government if we want low inflation.

Not surprised world Leaders would make that statement. The USA has Obozo’s White House staff running a demented Joe Biden. The Country was sinking when Oboza was still President and kept going after Demented Joe was elected..

Germany came to Canada to encourage the building of a LNG terminal. Trudeau said he couldn’t see making such a huge investment on something that would be obsolete soon. They ended up signing an agreement on Hydrogen Strategy
