Hmmm. The CDC embarrassed themselves so badly with changing and, ultimately, wrong information that any interference with their communications likely saved lives. BTW, they work for the administration and are subject to their oversight.

What scientific information? None of this stuff was properly tested, and the only narrative that was allowed out was whatever was developed by the bureaucracy. Even when there were therapies which were effective, the bureaucracy shut it down.
The Trump Admin didn’t get much sway, there.
