Update: The January 6 Committee on Thursday unanimously voted to subpoena Trump.

Regardless of they question put to Trump he needs to answer with swipes at how illegitimate, bordering on illegal all of it is. Them pound on each member with some serious dirt his private investigators scrounge up. Never even have the slightest alignment with their questions. Interrupt the panel constantly and cause absolute scorched hell on Earth.

This committee is not a court, so they can't "find" him anything. If anything, they can publish a report with their conclusions, which will only mean something to the LAAP-dog media.

I watched his speech. At no point did he even suggest entering the Capitol. He suggested to march and protest OUTSIDE. Not his fault Capitol Police opened the doors or fences.

The only legislative purpose for this "process" would be to pass a Bill of Attainder against a private citizen, which power is not granted to Congress, in fact, it is forbidden.

Actually, if he winds up going in front of the committee, he should just do what every dem does when they go in front of a committee. Ignore the question and just say what you want to say, regardless of whether or not it has any relationship to the question asked. Just because they ask a question doesn’t mean your have to answer that question. Just say, “ A better question would be X and here is my answer to that.”

Question: If Trump decides not to appear .... Can they enforce Contemp Charges against him and then use that as a foundation for enforcement of the 14th Ammenment to prevent the former President from ever running for office???

You did not read it through. I didn’t say that his nomination was going to be “denied.” I said that if the timing were inch-perfect, then he would be convicted in late August (or a month after the convention) that would allow state officials from preventing his inclusion on the ballot, effectively leaving off the Republican nominee. Now, blue states don’t matter too much, but if the red state RINO politicians pull the same stunt by keeping him off the ballot, then it would be near impossible for Trump to win because he would have to be written in.

To be blunt, it matters not what the law states at that time; it’s what the justification the state election officials take to justify Trump’s exclusion from the ballot that matters.
