A moderate Democrat for Lee Zeldin
New York Daily News ^ | Oct 11, 2022 | Robert Cherry

As someone who has never voted Republican, I am deeply troubled by the New York Democratic Party. I strongly oppose its environmental policies, including its anti-nuclear stance; its agenda making it harder for the police and prosecutors to do their jobs, including by passing excessive bail reform; and its resistance to any educational reforms that the teachers’ union oppose, including charter school expansion. None of these policies are necessarily supported by the median Democratic voter, but all have been imposed by a determined left-wing that Gov. Hochul has for the most part been unwilling to confront.

Zelin says he will pursue expansive energy policies, including natural gas production in the Southern Tier; end the cap on charter schools and expand vocational education options; and work to dramatically alter the current bail system, giving discretion to judges like in every other state nationally. Zeldin has a 10-point “Reform Albany” plan that includes establishing term limits on statewide offices.

I will no doubt be vilified by liberals for my position in the current zero-sum political world. Any deviation from the Democratic Party line gives a victory to Trumpers. Indeed, to further this polarization, millions of dollars from progressive funders helped nominate the most extreme right-wing candidates in a number of Republican primaries. We have already seen with COVID school closures that hewing to the party line can have disastrous results. Given the potential perils our state faces, reelecting Hochul may lead to another set of very harmful decisions. I would rather disappoint my fellow partisans than let our state go unchecked and unthinking down the dangerous road it’s on.

All you need to know is, right now, #NewYorkStateofAnarchy. It’s true, and by design.

How many other people, alive today, will be DEAD within the next four years, unless New Yorkers vote for Lee Zeldin? https://t.co/j1vyhMfBl9— Ann Coulter (@AnnCoulter) October 7, 2022

Tuesday, Keaira Hudson’s husband was arrested & charged with many new domestic violence charges after attacking her. He was instantly released on cashless bail. Yesterday, he shot & killed Keira in front of her 3 kids. She had on a bulletproof vest. pic.twitter.com/mrkHsIWFrW— Lee Zeldin (@leezeldin) October 7, 2022

Democrat voters should withdraw from the political process for at least a decade. We can then all enjoy a period of sanity.

Remember, a Republican is just a Democrat who has been mugged.

The bottom line, this guy only needed to be mugged every year from the age of 18 until after his retirement before he realized he should vote Republican...some people are slow learners!

From an Upstate enemedia outlet...

Public Service Commission confirms New Yorkers are going to pay a lot more to heat homes this winter: How much higher will your bill go?

Per the above, the average residential electric customer will pay $75 per month, or 42% more than last year. The average natural gas customer will spend around $240 per month, or 29% more than last year.

WTG, Deep State!
