How interesting. In the last week or so the Prez has threatened to directly attack Russia if Russia significantly escalated the Ukraine conflict. Crossing the nuclear threshold was implied. Gen Petraes was positively blase and amused at the prospect. A n escalating nuclear exchange would end a lot of things for the US. I remember when all hell was breking loose over the Reagan administration just deploying a new generation of theater nuclear missiles (the Pershing) in western Europe. Where are all the peace groups such a the Friends Service Committee or the Fellowship for reconciliation? Seriously. The US from the highest levels is being casual and blase about its willingness to use WMD over a border dispute in eastern Europe and I don’t hear a peep from Congress or anyone else.
She has money. There are other countries to move to.
