The hourglass is running low on Blake Masters and his chances to reverse course in the Arizona Senate race as Sen. Mark Kelly (D) keeps up his offensive on the airwaves, leaving Republicans pessimistic and turning their attention elsewhere on the 2022 map.
Masters, the Peter Thiel protégé-turned-politician, found himself on the wrong side of the multiple developments last week, headlined by the cancellation of $9.6 million worth of ads by the Senate Leadership Fund — a group backed by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). In addition, a new poll on Thursday commissioned by AARP showed Kelly leading by 8 percentage points.

I’m pretty sure the AARP fogies are afraid of the death threats they’d receive is they say that Masters is neck and neck with their AstroNot.
And Hillary had a 98% probability of winning according to The Hell.
What, that mysterious block of 2 AM votes for the Democrat already appeared?
F the Turtle. He clearly doesn’t WANT to win the Senate back. He’s likely getting some serious Bitcoin or other crypto/untraceable assets from the Chinese and/or the Mexican Cartel.
We need to rally around this guy because it’s going to affect Lake as well.
I just listened to a VDH podcast. He thinks Trump might have gone overboard with the stolen election stuff. In the aftermath he should have announced that he was going full speed to win those 2 Georgia senate seats. Whatever was going on too many republicans didn’t show up in the January runoff. We lost both houses. Too much worst enemy stuff. We need to think clearly in ‘24 and so does he.
What does the Fox polling say about Arizona?
I am not surprised. The GOPe is much happier with Kelly and will be first in line to congratulate and welcome him back to Washington.
Masters, being a MAGA candidate is persona non grata in the GOPe-Republican Party. But then, anyone who is not into Making America Great Again is not welcome in Washington by the two ruling parties.
Kelly is a LOUSY Senator!!!!!
The people of Arizona must fire him!!!!
The sHill is trying hard.
Polls schmolls. Who cares what they say. Wouldn’t give them the time of day. One thing, a lot of Kali types in the Maricopa County area.
Correct.
Polls schmolls, waste of everyone’s time. Useless and FAKE!
Especially RCP, averages of OLD and worthless polls.
ALL polls are bullshirt, but RCP is the WORST!
FORGET POLLS!
“Bleak” is too strong a word and signals that the author is a Democrat shill
In close Senate races, Rs are ahead in FL, GA, NC, NV, OH and WI. They are a bit behind in AZ and PA.
The probable outcome is a net R pick-up of 1 to 3 seats.
Regarding Arizona, McConnell wants Masters and Thiel to belly up to the bar. Write some checks guys! There is also the unknown factor of whether and how much Trump will spend on this year’s elections.
There are yet two other considerations: In AZ, the Rs have a terrific candidate for Governor (Keri Lake). There aren’t many ticket-splitters any more, and Keri Lake might just pull Masters over the finish line.
Conversely, the Ds have a major dud of a candidate in the PA Senate race. Dr. Oz should pull this one out. But, I don’t feel so good about Oz pulling Mastriano across the finish line.
Fox polls are among the worst.
The sHill.
At minority leader, he doesn’t have to do anything but b!tch. He still gets the backroom grift, though.
You don't ever discourage voting for any reason.
At the end of the day, there were undoubtedly voters on Election Day who had every intention of going to the polls and then for whatever reason, didn't make it.
Add to the fact that in November of 2020, there was still the notion among many millions of Americans that we were in the middle of a terrible pandemic.
The Democrats, meanwhile, encouraged mail-in voting. "Just drop it in your mailbox! It's that easy!"
That's what we need to be doing. The lazy voter's vote counts just as much as mine does.
I'd love to see Mastriano win but unfortunately, I think his J6 involvement hurts him with moderate swing voters.
