Republican J.D. Vance slightly leads Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) in the race for Ohio’s open United States Senate seat.
The Marist Poll of 1,200 registered voters in Ohio conducted between September 12 and 15 showed Vance slightly in the lead, but within the 3.6 percent margin of error, less than two months before the election.

No I honestly wouldn’t be surprised. Tim Ryan has actually been running ads, unlike Vance. Also, Ryan is using the sharrod brown angle for democrats who actually win in Ohio, which is to act like you are a blue collar social moderate.
I still think Vance will win, and despite having a lot of Kasich style RINOs, Ohio has some pretty tough voting laws. But I’m not surprised it’s close. Vance is not a campaign juggernaut at all.
Tim Ryan’s a know-nothing lunatic. Vance should be up by 50 points.

Any and all polls of recent vintage reflect another ‘Silent Majority’.-—those Rs hesitant to proclaim their conservative creds to pollsters or anyone else for fear of being ridiculed, stalked, run over by automobile, or spied upon.
Even the accurate Trafalgar group pollsters advise conservatives are vastly under-sampled for the reasons stated.
I like this silent strategery. Ds won’t fully see us coming. Scoff at polls but vote your heart out, on election day.
What credible pollster would still be taking polls of registered voters instead of likely voters this close to an election? It's a way to bias the poll in favor of the Democrat.
Most of us trust Rich Baris’ polling more at this point. He indicated last week that using anything but a “likely voter” profile after Labor Day is just pollster malpractice.

As Rush always advised, many polls are meaningless until very close to Election Day. Over the decades these pollsters mostly try to bend public opinion, until just before the election. Then, they ‘might’ publish a real poll to be able to state they got it right.
Also, when one delves into the poll, over and over they have some crazy ratio of 40% democRATS to 20% Republicans.
There was an author who stated ‘if it’s not close, they can’t cheat.’. Well, now we know that since Trump was going to cream Obama / Biden, they actually had to stop counting in several States in order to steal the election. We need to get 10 people, to get 10 people to vote on election day.
Vance needs to run an add blaming Ryan for the MAGA person run over in North Dakota.
