Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) will host a fundraiser Thursday evening for Georgia’s Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker.
Walker’s campaign team confirmed the event for The Hill but did not provide any further details. The Hill has reached out to McConnell’s office for comment.
McConnell has backed Walker since his primary race, but the Senate GOP leader came under scrutiny last month after he said the House was more likely to flip red than the Senate, citing “candidate quality.”

Walker now actually has a chance. Kemp is going to win so decisively, he just might pull Walker across the finish line in his massive red wave.
McConnell sees this happening just as much as we do.

No, he'll enjoy being a majority leader under a Democrat president. This way, he can block everything and draft legislation that will never get passed.

Plus, Clarence Thomas isn't getting any younger. God forbid, he takes a turn for bad health during the next two years, we'll need McConnell to keep his seat open.
