IMHO,
This is an act that could cause a war. This is something that could have been avoided if the German’s had listened to Trump. Now, they risk European conflict and widening the current Ukrainian conflict, because they were shortsighted and greedy.

Germany needs to rethink it’s socialist positions, and it’s flagrant disregard for leadership in Europe.

“Germany and it’s defender, the U.S., have a 25-26 Trillion dollar combined economy (resources).

Russia HAD a 1.8 trillion dollar economy in 2021. It’s estimated that they will lose at least half of that in 2022.”

Estimated by whom? 25 Trillion is turning into funny money, and I’d like to see how German economy is going to work without oil and gas. I think not so we’ll is understatement.

My guess is he will destroy the refinery via a missile attack.

LOL, maybe if Putin fired 10 missiles, one would actually hit its target.

you talk in that distinctive, jarring “Euro-English” that’s always a giveaway

so you live in Russia, right?

that’s why you didn’t create an “about” page, right?

Putin started this. He lost and is losing

You're very wrong, and I'm in no way a Russian fanboi...

NATO and Ukraine started it.

What would you do if Ukraine became a member of NATO and you were the leader of Russia?

This would put a NATO country's border within 300 miles of Moscow.

Of course the Russians are going to respond in an aggressive manner to that.

“My guess is he will destroy the refinery via a missile attack.”

Vlad can’t keep his troops from running away in women’s dresses, he is not going to attack a member of NATO.

“Nobody with long-term contracts pays the spot price, idiot”

Didn’t the contract say something about “performing maintenance”. My understanding is that if one side breaks a contract, then it is null and void.

...so now Germany gets to pay SPOT PRICES (which are still close to $400/barrel equivalent).

Don’t get me wrong, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE you guys for screwing over Germany!

If Germany wanted to guarantee Putin will completely cut off the gas pipeline to Europe this winter, this is the way to do it.

> that’s the whole point of long-term contracts <

Very true, but only if the supplier can actually fulfill the contract at the stated price.

As an example, suppose I sign a long-term contract with you to deliver large amounts of silver at $18 an ounce. Then silver spikes to $80 an ounce, and stays there. I cannot fulfill that contract. And if I try, I will go bankrupt.

So I’m not going to try. I will ignore the contract. All you can do then is sue me, and let it wind through the courts.

Why do you think Hitler wanted the Sudetenland in 1938?

Hint: It had nothing to do with the Sudeten Germans.

Hitler always felt that Czechoslovakia was the bastard child of The Versailles Treaty, giving Britain and France a base smack dab on the borders of the Reich. Getting the Sudentenland would greatly reduce Czechoslovakia’s ability to defend herself.

uh, Sweden and Finland are joining NATO

and they’re right on Russia borders, yet Russia is doing nothing about it

so much for the “NATO provocation” theory

now we’re back to square one ... PUTIN STARTED IT BECAUSE HE”S A BLOODTHIRSTY WARMONGER

(the simplest explanation is always right)

” You’re very wrong, and I’m in no way a Russian fanboi...NATO and Ukraine started it.”

He’s been here from the start, and just like all of the Neocons here, he FULLY knows the history there.

...but they’re here to push the agenda of the Neocons, and part of that is acting dumb - implying things like “Putin got up on Feb 24, felt like crap, and so decided to start a war”.

They know the truth...but cannot admit such and still be able to push the Neocon agenda here.

“uh, Sweden and Finland are joining NATO”

Really, how many terrorists has Sweden sent back to Turkey? None, so far. So, no NATO for them!
