Putin started this. He lost and is losing

You're very wrong, and I'm in no way a Russian fanboi...

NATO and Ukraine started it.

What would you do if Ukraine became a member of NATO and you were the leader of Russia?

This would put a NATO country's border within 300 miles of Moscow.

Of course the Russians are going to respond in an aggressive manner to that.

Why do you think Hitler wanted the Sudetenland in 1938?

Hint: It had nothing to do with the Sudeten Germans.

Hitler always felt that Czechoslovakia was the bastard child of The Versailles Treaty, giving Britain and France a base smack dab on the borders of the Reich. Getting the Sudentenland would greatly reduce Czechoslovakia’s ability to defend herself.

uh, Sweden and Finland are joining NATO

and they’re right on Russia borders, yet Russia is doing nothing about it

so much for the “NATO provocation” theory

now we’re back to square one ... PUTIN STARTED IT BECAUSE HE”S A BLOODTHIRSTY WARMONGER

(the simplest explanation is always right)

” You’re very wrong, and I’m in no way a Russian fanboi...NATO and Ukraine started it.”

He’s been here from the start, and just like all of the Neocons here, he FULLY knows the history there.

...but they’re here to push the agenda of the Neocons, and part of that is acting dumb - implying things like “Putin got up on Feb 24, felt like crap, and so decided to start a war”.

They know the truth...but cannot admit such and still be able to push the Neocon agenda here.

“What would you do if Ukraine became a member of NATO and you were the leader of Russia?”

Eat my hat. Because Putin has known for years it was never going to happen. NATO pretty much confirmed that last year, Zelenskyy withdrew his ambition to join even before the SMO started, stating clearly that the open door was one nobody wanted Ukraine to walk through; and it was described as an “easy” concession in the March-April negotiations.

Russia annexing South Ukraine would’ve put Russia next door to NATO. Finland joining NATO would’ve. Russia invading the Baltic would’ve.

If we adopted dumbshit orc logic, the unification of Russia and Belarus would be grounds for NATO to invade Belarus. Of course we’d respond to an aggressive move like that... see what happens if you let Bullshit Provocation go both ways.

NATO didn’t start it.

You do realise that Ukraine was not on the path to join NATO. The last time they had applied, in 2008, along with Georgia, their application was rejected by France and Germany for fear of provoking Putin.

Net result, Putin invaded Georgia 6 weeks after the rejection.

You say "put a NATO country's border within 300 miles of Moscow "

you do know that Estonia and Latvia havr been a part of NATO since 2004 and it is practically next door to St Petersburg and quite close to Moscow?

there was no threat from nat. Each of these countries joined NATO because if you are Russia's neighbour and are not a part of NATO then you will be invaded and/or you will be made a vassal state like Belarus

https://nyadagbladet.se/utrikes/shocking-document-how-the-us-planned-the-war-and-energy-crisis-in-europe/

“The document, which dates from January, acknowledges that the aggressive foreign policy that was being pursued by Ukraine before the conflict would push Russia into having to take military action against the country. Its actual purpose, it contends, was to pressure Europe into adopting a wide range of sanctions against Russia, sanctions which had already been prepared.
The European Union’s economy, it states, “will inevitably collapse” as a result of this, and its authors rejoice in the fact that, among other things, resources of up to $9 billion will flow back to the United States, and well-educated young people in Europe will be forced to emigrate.
The key objective described in the document is to divide Europe - especially Germany and Russia - and destroy the European economy by placing useful idiots in political positions in order to stop Russian energy supplies from reaching the continent.”
