Rosneft Germany will be placed under ‘trustee administration’
Germany has today announced it is taking control of three Russian-owned refineries.
The Federal Network Agency, the German electricity and gas regulator has said it has been appointed fiduciary of Berlin-based Rosneft Deutschland GmbH and RN Refining & Marketing GmbH.
It has been reported that the decision has been to help the country secure energy supply ahead of a predicted ‘tough’ winter.
Germany’s regulator said: “The fiduciary management, ordered on the basis of the Energy Security Act, means that the original owner no longer has authority to issue instructions.
“The fiduciary is able to take action to keep the business running in accordance with its importance for the functioning of society in the energy sector.”
PCK refinery said it was expecting “possible short-term restrictions” in Druzhba crude oil supply – Druzhba is considered the world’s longest oil pipeline.
He’ll send his Mercedes limo back!
I did nazi that coming,,,,,
Meanwhile Poland is going “Oh nie, not this gówno again!”
Did anyone read Atlas Shrugged there?
The Germans already nationalized Gazprom’s subsidiary, forgetting the gas contract for $370 TCU and now save to pay the market price of $2500.
No, I expect that one can only nationalize Western countries businesses.
I keep think back to the 80’s, when Hezbollah kidnapped some Westerners and a Russian.
Seems to me that the KGB kidnapped a Hezbollah leader and returned him in a day or so, but with a message that all men, everywhere, Mafioso or just a simple thug, understand completely.
Hmm, wasn’t this guy Putin a former employee of said Russian government agency?
If Germany wanted to guarantee Putin will completely cut off the gas pipeline to Europe this winter, this is the way to do it.
> Does anyone think Putin will just sit back and let Germany take over Russian oil refineries? <
Germany probably has it backwards. Seize the refineries only AFTER finding an economical way to replace 100% of imported Russian energy.
In other news, Greta is trying to get the EU to ban wood burning. (currently it’s rated “carbon neutral” by the Eurocrats).
Russia has cut off gas supplies to Europe indefinitely.
Nobody with long-term contracts pays the spot price, idiot
that’s the whole point of long-term contracts
more of your attempted Russian fear-mongering
I wonder when they write about World War III, do you think they will mention the authoritarian takeover of Russian-owned businesses by Germany as a “defining moment” in the lead-up to actual armed conflict?
My guess is he will destroy the refinery via a missile attack.
Putin started this. He lost and is losing
He no longer has that capability.
Germany and it’s defender, the U.S., have a 25-26 Trillion dollar combined economy (resources).
Russia HAD a 1.8 trillion dollar economy in 2021. It’s estimated that they will lose at least half of that in 2022.
On top of that, their military has about expended itself in terms of equipment, manpower, morale and “military” reputation.
On top of all the foregoing, they ultimately will lose the 350 billion in cash impounded by the U.S. and all other impounded property to rebuild the Ukraine.
More bluff and bluster from the Russian commies yes, REAL action, I doubt it.
I wonder if Germany will end up 1-2 in world wars.. third time’s a charm?
The clown is you and poorly informed as evident by our multiple prior exchanges.
Uniper had a contract with Gazprom Germania, the latter nationalized.
Uniper is free to demand to get it for $370, as long as the German government is going to provide it:)
Sure he does.
> My guess is he will destroy the refinery via a missile attack. <
If Putin was in a cranky mood, he could get a few refinery employees to sabotage the place.
Do any Russian nationals work there? If so, appeal to their patriotism.
If not, spread some money around.
