Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Tuesday made clear that Senate Republicans are not eager to debate Sen. Lindsey Graham’s (R-S.C.) proposal to ban abortions nationwide after 15 weeks of pregnancy, telling reporters that most GOP senators want to leave the issue to states.
McConnell also said Graham’s proposal is the South Carolina senator’s own initiative and not something being pushed at the leadership level.

Graham suggested this since it would never happen and is also against the Supreme Court ruling.
The court says its a States Issue.
At least 20 States would never agree.
Yep, probably best to leave it to the states.
These guys are conservative, right?
Graham just wants it front and center to help Democrats. We said we wanted it left to the states.

Would the South Carolina legislature make a worse choice?
Repeal the 17th Amendment!
Lindsey Graham is the main reason the GOP should make all states CLOSED PRIMARIES.
The only reason the DEMOREP Graham stays in power is the OPEN PRIMARY in South Carolina.
It’s a state issue. That’s why all these abortion ads being run against Senate candidates are just a smokescreen.
“...throws shade”??
The f’n weasel Graham is doing this for one reason. To keep the Senate in the rats hands. It’s as cynical and dishonest as it gets
Horrible news for Democrats on inflation and stock market today, but they can always count on Graham to help them change the subject.
McConnell needs to tell Graham to STFU.
I view it differently: It could well be that McConnell put Graham up to it, so McConnell could reinforce that the GOP wants to leave it to the States.
Yeah, it's slang for denigration.
I hate this stupid "slang in newspaper" trend I've been seeing, too.
It is getting ridiculous. And, unfortunately, it catches on.
Graham campaigning for democrats turnout.
Exactly. That limp-wristed prissy boy wants to motivate the left. He’s an idiot.
Graham is worried Republicans might take the majority and he’ll have to do something, so hes trying to sabotage us.
Graham has been in Congress since 1995. It took him 27 years to do this? What a dick-head.
Graham NEVER stands up for anything truly conservative unless at least one of these three facts exist:
1.) His support would not be considered the deciding vote.
2.) He knows beyond a shadow of a doubt it doesn’t stand a snowball’s chance in Sheol of passing.
3.) The issue or legislation carries no real weight.
Graham plays FOR the DEMOCRATS!!
