Merrick Garland is supposed to be a pretty good lawyer. Harvard Law School, federal prosecutor, federal judge, Supreme Court nominee, attorney general presiding over the Department of Justice (DOJ) — all the cake, most of the icing, without the cherry.
But some of my former prosecutor friends tell me that he may have overlooked a key procedural point in his current joust with former President Trump over the Mar-a-Lago documents. On Sept. 8, Garland filed a notice of appeal to the 11th circuit Court of Appeals from the special master order of Florida District Judge Aileen Cannon.
Simultaneously, he moved the inexperienced Trump-appointed Judge Cannon to modify her order granting Trump’s motion to appoint a special master and gratuitously (Trump never asked for such relief) enjoining the government from “further review and use of any of the materials seized from [Trump’s] residence” (the FBI said it had already reviewed it all) “for criminal investigative purposes, pending resolution of the special master’s review process…”

Guarantee he had a deal with Hillary to let her have a pick instead of Nobama. Then Trump spoiled the game.
Who is this idiot? He doesn’t seem to be very up to date on how “Classification” works.
I was a derivative classification officer for over 30 years. This person is an idiot.
As someone that has employed two Harvard trained liars, your assessment is spot on. I hired the first one just because of his “contacts” knowing it would be easier maneuvering my project along, but I had a competent attorney overseeing everything.

It's a type of exclusive club and membership has it's value. Most anyone can pass the bar.
Way back when......there used to be a show called “The Paper Chase” which starred John Goodman (IIRC) and some other actor I can’t remember. The forgettable actor was involved in the Paper Chase at Harvard for his law degree and John Goodman was the crusty old master professor who supposedly drilled all the finer points of law, ethics, and other Hollywood BS into the ‘students’.
In retrospect, it was all drivel and it’s really nothing better than you say...... affords the opportunity to develop insider contacts, and in Harvard’s case, that means pure leftist. Lifelong leftist membership in the cabal.
This is not a legal case, it’s a political stunt.
“Alphonse must proceed Gaston”? Sheesh. Writing is a large part of what I do and I pick up in a lot of popular culture references. This one is so obscure that it reveals naught but that the writer is a pretentious windbag. For those who are curious:

Did he mess up? Yeah. He broke the law by approving a raid of a political opponent without probable cause a crime was committed. That is messing up.
James D Zirin, an 82 year old over the hill shyster who thinks he still has his fastball.
He’s aggressively stupid. The worst kind of stupid.
When the DNC/Communist/NAZI party controls the vote counting and marxist propaganda media, our last option is 2A.
John Houseman
Also Lindsay Wagner in the movie
later a TV show
Despite the minor booboo implied by the headline, the author is pushing the idea that Trump is guilty of MAJOR crimes and must be lynched, that there is no possibility that the documents were actually in his possession legally, etc. It’s exactly the DNC talking points you would expect from The Shill.
No fan of the Turtle here, he did however get Trump's nominees on the USSC and without exception, every single nominee on the federal courts at every level as well. Beyond that, yeah, Mitch McConnel is a worthless POS.
This — more than anything — demonstrates that the corrupt DOJ did not find what they were looking for…
…most likely the Crossfire Hurricane docs.
It’s said that the hard part about Harvard in general is figuring out how to get in, not the curriculum or the grading. Consider how Barack Obama is reported by first hand account of retired Manhattan Borough President Percy Sutton about how Sutton contacted a very specific Muxlum Texan who had pull with Harvard:

Yeah...you’re right....Houseman....
I can’t believe I ever fell for any of that pumped up, pious nonsense they tried to portray for a Harvard Law Education.
The front door is not used at exclusive clubs.
Everything leaked is no longer admissible in a court of law. DOJ knew it was a lost cause so the trial is to be in the court of public opinion and media created emotion.
