The Russian-installed chief administrator of Russian-controlled parts of Ukraine’s Kharkiv region recommended on Saturday that all its inhabitants evacuate to Russia “to save lives,” according to the Russian state-run TASS news agency.
Vitaly Ganchev said official representatives were ready to provide the refugees with food, heat and medical care, according to TASS.
The Russian Defence Ministry said it was pulling troops out of Izium and Balakliia – crucial military supply hubs in the Kharkiv region – as Ukraine claimed rapid advances.
Ganchev had said on Friday that civilians were being evacuated from several towns that had come under heavy pressure after Russia’s defensive lines were breached.

Cronos is right. The attack on Kiev was not a feint. The Russians made it clear their intention was to take the city and install a new president.
Two things got in their way: 1) Russian forces were simply poorly prepared and lead, 2) the Ukrainians fought harder than the Russians expected.
Russian state media (RIA Novosti) even had an article ready to be printed praising the taking of the city - which never happened.

30,000 troops.
Trying to remember what movie that is from. Li’l Abner comes to mind.
And?
The Russians - according to their own reports - were under the impression they would be welcomed as liberators and would face little opposition. The whole invasion force was under 200,000 men.
No one planning a “feint” attack on Kiev would waste hundreds and hundreds of special forces troops on an airport they would do exactly nothing with.
Going 40 miles an hour it takes you 6 hours to get from the Russian border to Kiev. The Russians probably thought they would be in the city in a couple of days.
The latest successes of the Ukrainians just shows that the Russians are just poorly prepared for this war. I say that knowing full well that time may be on the side of the Russians for they have more men and resources in the long run.
“The latest successes of the Ukrainians just shows that the Russians are just poorly prepared for this war.”
I admitted that the Russians were caught completely off guard by the NATO attack, when they had been prepared for a ground-down Ukrainian attack. They screwed up.
But as to Kiev, the net effect of the 30,000 troops was to tie-down reinforcements to prevent the Ukrainians from moving against the Russians in Donbass, and it worked perfectly as far as that went. I haven’t seen any evidence yet that the Russians expected to be greeted as liberators in Kiev and I doubt that was the case, as Russia, more so than many here, fully understands the difference in the people in Kiev versus Donbass.
Anyone who cooperated with Separatist militias should flee
Reports of summary executions are pouring in
“I admitted that the Russians were caught completely off guard by the NATO attack,”
There was no NATO attack. It was Ukrainians.
“But as to Kiev, the net effect...”
Oh, so now it’s the “net effect”?
“I haven’t seen any evidence yet that the Russians expected to be greeted as liberators in Kiev”
1) The Russians - and I mean the Russian people - said that the Ukrainians wanted to be liberated: https://foreignpolicy.com/2021/12/02/russia-ukraine-liberated/
2) Russian prisoners have said repeatedly that they were told they would be greeted as liberators: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/mar/04/russian-soldiers-ukraine-anger-duped-into-war
I presented evidence. Will you do the same?
How about you try posting from non-propaganda sources?
“How about you try posting from non-propaganda sources?”
How about you stop dismissing sources that wreck your weak narrative by making false claims they’re propaganda?
But no, you won’t do that because that’s all you have.
“How about you stop dismissing sources that wreck your weak narrative by making false claims they’re propaganda?”
Do you think Trump colluded with Russia in 2016?
Ok, when is your idol Putin going to “destroy Ukraine “?
He’s had 200 days and now his army is in retreat.
You putinistas need to get better stories
“Do you think Trump colluded with Russia in 2016?”
Nope. So you’re asking a completely irrelevant questions to avoid actually dealing with sources that destroy your claims? My gosh, you’re a coward.
“Nope. So you’re asking a completely irrelevant questions to avoid actually dealing with sources that destroy your claims? My gosh, you’re a coward.”
You must believe Trump colluded with Russia, if you believe those ‘sources’. Otherwise, why should I believe them?
“You must believe Trump colluded with Russia, if you believe those ‘sources’. Otherwise, why should I believe them?”
You must be an idiot to insist I believe in something I don’t just because I was able to post articles that go against your narrative. You don’t have to believe in the articles in order to post an argument against them. What you do have to do is have a mind capable of logic and reason and an ability to do some research. You apparently don’t have that.
Yeah; that makes sense.
Instead of killing them where they live, let's let them into our country instead.
